Tata Sky and their dealer cheated me

Hi friends,

I had a very disappointing incident with Tata Sky network.

My name is Thomas and I took a tatasky connection 2008 August. I took south jumbo pack (310 Rs/Month) and paid it to the Tatasky dealer in Chennai (DTH Zone, Aminjakarai, Chennai). I paid total amount around 4600, including the box and annual subscription charges. The installation was free. Till now the connection was not activated. Initially the Tatasky support team was admitting it was their mistake, but they never took a step to enquire about this incident and this cheater (DTH zone, Aminjikarai, Chennai) is still cheating people and selling Tatasky products.

Now Tatasky is saying if I pay Rs. 1100, I can view the channels for 3 more months.

Why should I pay Rs. 1100 more to this cheating Tatasky network when Sun TV is giving better services at 50% of their charges?

Very disappointed and We have decided to never buy any services or products from TATA group.

From Augest to April now is really a long period.. till now the connection is not activated seems to be very strange statement. When the installation is done, the technical engineer would activate the connection and check weather the signals are proper etc.... How come this is not done in your case? Also when you have a valid subscriber id, the account statement can be tracked through web or through customer service...This means either you do not have a valid Smart card or your account is being misused by some one else with the smart card provided... it looks like your careless activity to deal with the account.....I did not hear such a big gap in their customer service.
 
You have a legitimate complain. It appears that it was your dealer who misinformed you. But it is really strange that you did nothing for almost a year. You should have immediately called customer services and they would have sorted it out for you. I think you should not blame Tata Sky for something what the dealer has done.Can you please tell us all as to why did you not contact them immediately and waited for so long? I am sure it will all be sorted soon . Best of luck! 🙂
 
Wtf you were waiting for so long? My connection got activated within a day after registering. Looks like you were sleeping all those months!
 
i never had seen such type of complait till date but we cant say that its his mistake as we dont know what happened in his case but if its true then TS dealer holds the full responsibility for it😗
 
Hi friends,I went minimum 5 times to this dealers office and two time I took leave from my office to visit this idiot dealer. He is telling a lot of excuse for this and once he even told this is the problem with Tata Sky. Once he told me this is the problem with Box and he asked me to bring it to their office. I took it there and one week he kept it there and finally told me, there is no problem with this box.I made three or four calls to Tatasky support initially they responded and later they are saying we cannot do anything. I cannot visit everytime to this persons office taking a leave and I dont have time to go for a legal claim also. My only mistake was I BELIEVED this utter waste company. :wall:I admit that the dealer is the culprit. I paid Rs. 3100 to him, but he paid only Rs. 2000 to Tatasky as subscription charges. But this dealer was appointed by Tatasky right? Why he is selling Tatasky products now? If any complaint is launched by a customer about a dealer they should enquire. I have the genuine documents with me and the Tatasky support team NEVER asked about these documents. These people need only money and they do whatever they like to suck money from people. What I understood is both this company and their dealer are culprits. It is all about Rs. 4500. But I worked hard to make this money and I know its value. This company earns money by looting the people and they dont know how much effort one has to make to earn 4500 Rs. SHAME... :wall:This is the address of that dealer. I think anyone can sell Tata Sky STBs . Surely, your dealer is at fault here. I was not asked for any documents at the time of registration. Yr dealer took you for a ride... I think you should lodge a complaint with the dealer or threaten them with some action!
 
yes, definitely, it appears to be dealers fault. You must take strong action against him as it is your hard earned money.
 
Could u please giv ur digicard or digicomp number... We can trace the settop box is really active.
 
yep give the details and sure do lodge a complaint in consumer court and produce those documents and claim 1-2 lakhs so that nobody would do this another time😗
 
Dear Friends,Thanks a lot all for the support you have given for my post. Yesterday I have received a call from Tata Sky support team and they informed me that they have resolved in issue and the balance amount is deposited in my account. It took around eight months for them to resolve a genuine, serious issue... Very active support team they have... :ashamed:I didnt check my connection whether it is working or not, because I am busy with some work...Thank you friends for your help...:thumbsup:Thomas.
