Guys (specially the regulars) u all should have noticed my absence for past few day well all went wrong with my UT-300R2 modem ...BSNL replaced it with SmartAX MT882 today, so I am back( it took around 3 weeks though).

I really want to survey this which one is a better modem among those BSNL provides
and also which they don't provide.

Any Information will be Useful
ITS GOOD TO BE BACK SURFING

My modem is SmartAX MT 841 -what they call type III. I paid 1500 for this. So far (since Jan 20) it is working well without any hitch. Speed is around 27Kbps.

It all depends on what you want and what you wanna pay for. I dont need wifi modem and I am pleased by the performance of my plain vanilla Huawei MT880. I've been using it from almost 8 months without any glitch.

how many people here have the MT 800 (not 880)...???am i the only one? i don't think i've seen anyone else post that they have mt800.... i've got that both in pune (home 500) and blore (home 1800)works great for me

MT 841 seems to be good,Type III & IV are the same the only diff being the presence of a detachable PCI card in TYPE IV,Mt841 is good i use it with BSNL as well as Touchtell also it id doing my Home LAN and My WIfi it seems robust it has been on for the past ,dince 28jan
