Firstly sorry for not having pictures in this thread for downloading sped , as it did not struck to me to take pictures to share when i was playing around with the demo of reliance netconnect + broadband .ok here is the review. After 1 week of non stop calls from reliance people informing me that they will be coming for the demo today and blah blah , they finally came to my office on saturday. The guy who brought the demo was nothing more than a delivery boy i felt. I asked him various questions regarding the broadband but he was confused and i felt i was talking in greek to him .Anyway the demo package came in with a usb and a cd to install the drivers , the installation went fine .you have to open up a connector in order to connect to the broadband and under the settings of the connector you have to enter the username and the password , the username was some reliance number and the password was the same . I tried to connect several times but it kept on coming could not get a dial tone error repeatedly , i got frustrated and asked this guy whats wrong man! ?he then checked in the settings again and then changed the connection type to 1x network (you get 3 choices : 1x , hsd , hybrid) , I asked him 1x network is your normal network for slow speeds so why are you connecting to that ? guess what the reply was ?sir we have not launched hsd network as yet , i got even more frustrated and asked him why are you advertising for high speed data 3.1 mbps connection and misleading the users , like i thought he had no reply.anyway got connected to the 1x network , the speed frustrating was nothing more than 12kb download .i disconnected and tried connecting to the hsd network again , to my surprise it got connected , i asked him how come it got connected to hsd network right now ? he said oh sorry sir hsd network is launched you can connect to the hsd network too , i just couldnt believe with what i was dealing with .anyway 2nd time connected with the hsd network and tried downloading some file again , guess what the speed was on hsd network too ? lol i was not getting more than 30kb download at the max .i asked the guy to leave , told him you have a great product but i am not interested at all !!Reliance is living upto its name ! fooling people and what not ! if any of the ppl from reliance is reading this , then wake up , yall are nothing but white collar thieves !!! robbing in day light !! thats what yall are doin !!

Hi, Can you tell me how do I call them for DEMO? also you have mentioned there were three 3 choices : 1x , hsd , hybrid, so whats the hybrid thing? may be you will get high speed by selecting this option..

hybrid is basically it choses the network automatically to connect as to which is available , had tried connecting with that too...

to get a demo you have to really eat their head otherwise they only keep on saying your delivery is ready by what means are you going to pay for it

basically hungry for money and God knows why cause its an ambani company !

damm really disappointed with sh1tty customer service

Hi, am using the one. it all depends on how far you are from the tower. luckly am near and i get around 70KBps which is comparable with a wired broadband speed. not yet tried the roaming. but one problem that i faced frequently is it disconnects frequently when ever i swithc between HSD and CDMA 1X

can u test ur connection with speedtest.net and upload the findings, that will really help all of us.thnks

Hi, I am getting 0.37 download and 0.15 mbps upload speed which is like 1/10th of the speed claimed. If reliance improves the customer care, they can really be good...but who are they competing with? foools. I had to call up at least 100 times to the CC for 4 days to get this damn thing activated although the sales guy said that it will be activated in 24 hrs. Once u buy the data card ensure you take off the next day from work. If the verification guy does not see your face they will not activate the connection...ughhh...I was not in the city and I had to ask someone to sign for me...well the fools can be tricked...8/10 if you don't have to call the customer care...at the end of each call you will wonder who is insane the CC executive or you yourself!!! be careful is the buzz word...

i have bought it and its true, guys believe it.download speed goes upto 300kbps..that mean i can download a 10mb file in under a minute..just keep a track of how much you download...also the dialer shows exactly how much u have used..the minimum ull get is 0.5mbps and max is 3.1mbps..i am constantly getting between 1-2mbps while surfing... be sure u get full reliance network where u r and depending on the network ur speeds may vary...be sure to get a 1gb plan minimum otherwise u'll end up paying alot...the maximum is10gb as per fair usage in the unlimited plan 1099.. but from may they have a addon pack so ull get 10gb in the night plus the additional day time usage...so if u subscribe for the 5gb plan + the addon ull get 15gb a month for rs.1300 per month.also the upload usage will be substracted from the allowed monthly usage..
the Huawei usb modem cost is 3500.. but worth it for 3.1mbps wireless..have not been disconnected so far as many times i have used..:thumbsup::thumbsup:

1. Reliance Broadband+ Device is plug and play. No CD is required for installation. The device automatically Installs.
2. You can call 30335555 (Prefix Your Local STD Code) to request for a Demo or visit Reliance Netconnect
3. On an average you get 400-500 mbps download speed
4. Device can be used in all the major airports, Hotels & more importantly while driving to office... it can be used almost anywhere
5. Amazing connectivity and great speeds. Office mail access (Lotus Notes Full Client Access) is as smooth as it is on the office LAN
6. Great tariff plans. Rs. 1099 for 10GB download with City Wide Roaming, Rs. 1750 for 10 GB with All India Roaming
7. It works with Mac OS

This product delivers on its Promise. I am very Happy with it.

I stay in Pai Layout, Bangalore. I am getting average speeds around 500-600 kbps. but it frequently disconnects and goes to 1x mode automatically and again after some time it switches back to HSD mode. this is not good though I am happy about speeds.

Here are my speed test results using Reliance Netconnect+

https://www.speedtest.net

As expected with in couple of months speed came down to half of what I used to get when I took the connection.

thats what is Reliance ..India's Most (Un)Trusted Brand..

Absolutely useless service in Mumbai. They advertise 3.1 Mbps speed - the highest I have ever got is 1.5 Mbps - more often its 500 to 600 Kbps. Also frequent disconnects and fallback to low (CDMA 1X) speeds. Also innumerable mistakes in monthly bills with charges for services (such as VPN) never subscribed to.Just like Reliance Energy, another rip-off from the Reliance stable.

Hi everyone, I had been using reliance netconnect for abt 2 months. My views:

- 'Hybrid' connection ie., the speed change automatically according to the time/availability etc. It was a pain, as the frequent change in speed (very frequent for me) causes disruption if you are downloading a file directly from a site such as link-removed etc. I didn't get the 3.1 mb (effective dload speed is only 1/8th of it) all the time, say for only abt 1/3rd of the time.
- The 'unlimited' plan is NOT so. It has a 10 gb limit (both upload and download)
- The Reliance Netconnect website opens up everytime you connect and EVERYTIME THE CONNECTION CHANGES SPEEDS such as 1x, 2x, hsd. It happens frequently and it's very annoying and also eats up a few kbs everytime.
- You have to buy the modem outright, no rental. It sets you back by 3500 BUCKS. And you can't return it if you plan to cancel your connection
- Only plan on getting the 1gb plan if you use it just to check your mail and visit a few sites, because you will have used up your limit before the month ends, and each mb above the limit is RS.2 PER MB (for landline broadband, it is Rs.0.60 per mb only)
- Even the 10 gb plan (so called 'unlimited') will be over in a jiffy if you download a lot and are not careful. If you use torrents BEWARE as you would have uploaded as much as you download
- They have a credit limit for each person, so if you reach it before the month ends, your connection will be disconnected abruptly and be restored only if you settle the outstanding balance

In my opinion, landline broadband with wifi are the best. If you absolutely need internet for your laptop on the go and have a lot of cash, go for wireless internet.
