Kolkata throw away Tatasky

Hi I m living in Kolkata(non-CAS area) and was using Tata Sky till last month.But recently switched to Siti Digital Cable.Price of the STB is just Rs.800(including taxes) and free Installation.Getting more than 175 channels with full EPG & 10 radio stations for Rs250 only but no interactive services.

The Picture and sound quality is as same as Tatasky in 26"Samsung LCD.And the service is pretty much good.So Friends Why pay around Rs.400 for Tatasky when U get all for Just Rs.250

After having a poor experience with the Cable, I shifted to TS. Till now I didn't had any problems with TS. Price is somewhat affordable, but I get quality service from TS. But we never know whats gonna happen in the Future. But at present I am happy with TS. 🙂

Cable TV is always a better alternative when counted in terms of quantity of channels and it is more feasible only in those areas where cable tv reception is comparable to DTH. Otherwise DTH is the only option left when u need quality at any place, specially for those areas where good quality cable reception is still a distant dream.

I completely agree. I too had very bad experience with cable wala. They have absolutely poor customer service. We are paying to Tata Sky for assured quality round the clock.

You are correct Hami. Me too experienced the bad things from Cable TV, that is why i shifted to Tata Sky. Now i am 200% happy with Tata Sky. 😀

In my area Cable tv never gives the good picture, even SUN TV got many grains in Cable TV. 😡

the funny thing in my sector is that the cable guy gives perfect service to a friend's house which is in the same sector. i paid 1100 bucks for installation and a month's service and all i get was disappointment. apparently the cable guy has been told that my friend has connections in the mob.

The title is so stereotype.............. my cablewala is a goonda, and does not give good service, thanks to tataksy... for giving such a quality service.if you cable wala is good, than you can opt for it.if not then TS is the best.

Most of the people subscribed to TS or any other DTH service mainly due to poor cable service. Hence, even though what Piku says may sound interesting but all DTH will be sceptical to switch back to cable.
However, if certain people are happy with cable service and if they are providing good service then it is a good news for consumers. Now we have more choice and across all broadcasting service provider we can hope to get quality services.

plus once u use Tata Sky the interface provided by theses cable setup box is very inconvinient.. :S

the quality of TS service is just their software technology due to which the CC can clear your renewal or any sort of problem soon.But do we need these services daily? I hardly call them , i even forgot the last time i called them maybe it was some 6months ago or something.So the quality is there but then who uses it daily? if they give us little more south channels like SS Music or LEE Music then it would be more satisfactory.

U didn't get the point what he was trying to say. We are paying to our DTH service provider for assured quality service which they provide to us absolutely hassle free round the clock. Even if there appears to have any problem, they got it solved at the earliest, the same is not true with cable wala. The point is, it's always good to take first action strongly and wisely rather than repenting later on.
