Even I am trying to set up the triband connection on my machine throught USB. It has win98 loaded, but not able to access the modem through its i/p. what cud be the prob?
I have set it up succesfully on my laptop having winXP and ethernet card.
Hope u properly installed the USB drivers for router....In my suggestion even Microsoft has stoped the tech support for win98 so i recommended that you install winxp sp2 for achieving high performance. If your machine is under 450MHZ cpu then stay happy win 98 no need for xp as it will slow down the machine.....
If u hv USB drivers 4 Win 98 correctly installed then u shud get a connection with something like NDIS .....Chk the settings 4 this connection in Control Panel -> Network
