CAN we record BIG TV Programs

I have got BIG TV DTH Connection. I have also got a Samsung DVD writer / 250 GB Hardrive. I have connected my Audio / Video out from the set top box to the Audio / Video input to the writer / recorder. And then an audio / Video outfrom the writer / recorder to the TV input. My Samsung recoder is capable of recording MPEG2. When I try to record any channel (instanenous recording / Timer recording), I get a message saying in the TV Screen as YOU CANNT RECORD COPY PROTECTED MOVIE.
In fact I tried them thru my LG VCR also. There I dont get any message but it is getting recorded with all blue screen. Before I had a Dish TV connection and there was no problem absolutely. I changed from Dish TV to BIG TV just because I dont get to see Neo Sports / Neo Cricket in DISH TV.

Can any one help me / advice of any other alternative method. I am totally upset of this because I miss so many programs. Sometimes it really annoys me

i guess big tv is using drm that does not work with a digital media recorder.

it works somewhat with your vcr coz that is analogue but you still get nothing at all.

just a thought.

try recording dd channels. they might be drm free.

I wish Big Tv too has Tata Sky Plus type DVR where you can Play, Pause and Rewind programs and movies. My friend has it and its so cool. Big Tv people must have such facility soon!!!!! I wonder how long we have to wait:huh:
