Airtel IPTV Installation Photos (Set Top Box Included)

here i am. a fresh customer of airtel. being able to watch awesome channels like hbo and star world on time shift. with airtel guys actually promising me that they aim to have at least 40 channels in this section in a month's time. 🙂

btw. it has only been a couple of hours.

i am yet to start complaining about shite that irritates me.

when i start doing that 😀 it becomes more fun 😀

My point is not to complain/blame Airtel IPTV service.
My point is Time-Shifted TV is yet another feature of IPTV Platform.
So it can be tailored to more Life-Style and some other specific channels.
But DVR-Enabled Set-Top box is sole function of the purpose of Time-Shifted TV.

from what i see. airtel is providing an easier way to get access to older programming.

and the fact remains. iptv is not for everyone who needs service for his television.

it is for people like us who need both broadband and television services. 🙂

i thought about it. found it to be pretty restrictive of what i wanted. ended up going for iptv. and i think i made the right choice.

i just do not want to deal with dth companies any more. 🙁

well i have no idea how to connect it to my lcd so i am going to take bad quality shots from my camera and upload them here later today 🙂i hope they turn out to be fine.

heh you asked for better quality pictures! the original photos were around 100MB in size. as for pizza hut, the service is not active on my connection. have to look into that. there are some issues i have noticed on IPTV. it stopped last night. had to restart the modem to get it working 😛i would wait for a couple of days before reporting to airtel about the problems i am facing. too bad i do not get much time to watch television or i would be able to post more about the issues that are there in the airtel iptv.

Take your own Time Admin.. You belong to the first set of Airtel IPTV users... Reviews from you for sometime will really clear doubts of members here... during free time, post some infos. 🙂

Thanks fo the pictures...Oh it has Dilli Aaj tak.. My mother has been pressurizing me for asking TS to get Delhi Aaj Tak.. May be Airtel IPTV is the answer for her..

One thing is pretty clear. The menus are very slow to browser. The user interface is designed decently, but it can take in a lot of improvements. Moving from one option to another is pretty slow. Moving from one page to another is also slow. Some options are just painful to use. I really hope they are working on fixing the issues with the user interface in future firmware upgrades. In its current form, my parents really cannot use it very comfortably. 🙁yeap delhi aaj tak is missing from all the DTH services. and this was the reason i had to go for airtel iptv instead of airtel dth. airtel iptv can give this channel as they are not limited by transponder space. let's see how they are in adding new channels and charging for them. at 450 bucks a month, i am already paying them a lot of money for existing channels.i doubt Tata Sky would be able to give delhi aaj tak because it is only useful for the people of delhi ncr. they are unlikely to add this particular channel on their service unless they have excess transponder space.

well. it has been working fine for me. no problems except for the slow menu operations which i think is common to all iptv services. have not faced any downtime in services. no new channels or time shift channels. quality is fine. i am pretty satisfied with what i have got. finally!i end up watching all the shows on star world as per my convenience. fast forwarding through the ads. 3 hour programming can be watched in much less time using time shift television.i just hope they refine the user interface of the software user interface. and they add more channels to time shift so that i get more flexibility while watching television sets. star world and hbo are there. star movies can be added. 🙂
