Hi,I am having a sharp drop in daytime speeds on my connection since a couple of days.3 days back I had confirmed to the Airtel executive that I did not wish to be automatically upgraded to the 256 Kbps plan (Rental Rs. 999/-) & would prefer to remain on 128 Kbps plan which I was since 2 Nov,05 (Earlier rental Rs.999/-,Now Rs.699/-),as I was more than satisfied with its performance & did not feel any need to upgrade it even at the same rental.To give u an idea I used to download around a GB of data per day if I kept the PC on for almost the whole day.I used primarily torrents & edonkey.Now in the nights my sygate firewall reports incoming data at around 50 KBps sometimes but normally stays around 35 or so,the day time speeds vary between a pathetic 8.5 to 20 KBps.Either they were giving speeds more than the plan earlier or they have snubbed me now.On searching the board i came across comments that Airtel was offering double speeds at night in & around NCR,but here in Lucknow I have neither recd. any call nor any letter intimating me of the same.My friends on the same plan but having USB modems have been getting very good speeds with emule etc,which I never got probably bec. of the port forwarding prob. ,but torrents seemed to do it for me.Now I am stuck with pathetic speeds throughout the day,though there is some relief at night.Is anyone else experiencing the same problems or do I have to forcibly upgrade to 256 Kbps plan in order to get the speeds I was gettiing for 3 months on my 128 Kbps plan ?BTW are there any Lucknow Airtel Subscribers here ?
