Sify from the past month has bypassed the CTO in my case and phones me to confirm account renewal and about sending their collection agent to collect the cheque. The trouble it the callers asks lots of questions besides the needed address, which irks me, like whether i work or study, where is it that i do what i do , even my vehicle registration number(what the...). I told them to bug off or I am dumping Sify and they did :-|. Do any of you guys get similarly bugged by Sify callers? And if anyone from Sify is reading this, stop being so annoying!

Not once they have asked me any personal details besides confirming the address and time convinient to send their agent over to collect the cheque. Its best to tell them to bug off. Don't give off any personal details not relevant for the matter.Cheers all!
Who knows they may be false agents pretending to collect? Once I asked the guy for an ID he said he did not carry one. He gave me the bill but you can never say. When it comes to sify services they are never professional. Make it a point to cross ur cheque and write ur name and details at the back.Dumb ppl don't carry their own IDs and ask irrelevant details!!!Cheers all!
No they are really from Sify because their agents do come afterwards to collect. But they could collect all this info to make a database and sell it to other marketeers. Anyway the point is what purpose does a question like where do you work/study or asking for the vehicle reg no. serve? They're just pesky annoyers.And once I edited my profile to enter all sorts of nonsense in it to protect my privacy (I entered my name as Lenin and address as Moscow, Russia :lol: ) but it wasn't acceptable to those fools and they made me put my original details back on it :-|. Well atleast if the login is encrypted and switches are used in the network, no one can just sniff out your password and read your profile 🙂
