i think you didn't get those speeds from Sify. The laptop downloaded stuff during the night and what you saw moving at over 400Kbps was just that the program interface was just updating the details. For the front end of the application (flashget), the download started as soon as your laptop came out of Standby mode while in reality it had already finished. So, when it updated the screen you saw that spike...

U are completely wrong

With sify u can get upto 700KB/s at times.I have seen this to happen to my frinds who use Sify .This speed glitch will happen atleast twice every month on Sify.And the speed glitch may remain for 1 day or for the whole month.In the olden days it used to happen very frequently but nowadays it happens only twice or thrice every month.

Besides that their normal sppeds are also good.exactly 32KB/s on 256 connection.

Thats where Airtel suxxx a lot.With Airtel n BSNL its very rare to get these type speed glitches.

Yeah if u just wanna download using a download manager u will usually get 32 KBPS stat at any time of day on sify........but not without multiple conns

Heck yes it did happen to me last month i actually pinched myself to see if this was a dream heck i dloaded the demo of NFS:Most wanted(500mb) within some 5-10 minbut it dint last much long went back to the usual speed within half an hour 🙂

It is just one in the bluemoon thing.. Its happened to me many a time,,, nothing to feel happy abt.
