Chandni Chowk to China

But SRK and amir did some good sensible movies like swadesh, tjp, etc while akki is struck mostly with his idiotic comedy of his career.

Buoyed by the success of its maiden production in India—Akshay Kumar-starrer Chandni Chowk to China (which garnered Rs 45 crore globally in the first three days of its release)—Warner Brothers Pictures India is set to invest Rs 200 crore in film production this year.

huh... WB saying its a success :hysterical:

i dont think this movie would lose money no matter what the critics say. warner have other reasons to stay here in bollywood. it's a big market. one bad movie is not going to change that.

in india, if movie is given a lot of promotion and marketed well before release, the crappiest of all movies can still make money.

Right said but because of internet revolution and blogging, atleast some part of society are getting educated and don't fall to there trap.

the blogging world is limited to bloggers. from my own experience from blogging... most people who read blogs are bloggers themselves. the rest of the web is still idiotic.most of the regular traffic on blogs is from people who have no clue what they are doing on the blogs.

hardly a margin of society.

how many people even read reviews of movies, let alone blogs? most of the public you see in theatres go thinking that they will have a good time having looked at many posters/promos on tv. they dont bother about reviews and stuff. and then there is fan following. put a big star in a movie, and people start thinking, oh he's in the movie so its gotta be good.

sad part is, many people even enjoy these sick movies.

I totally agree with suman. I felt my brain hurting through the movie yearning for intelligent humor.... Akshay Kumar made the movie so much worse, I swear they should've kept a good actor like Hrithik I really don't like Sharukhs overacting... but to get back on topic, if it weren't for deepika being hot I would have walked out of the theatre 🙂the thing is... if it weren't for Warner Bros fundng it neither Suman.. nor I would have expected anything about this film. Like this really ruins bollywod rep.
