I got a windows message saying that someone else was using the same IP address..I'm using a wifi bsnl broadband connection..what does this message mean?
have you set static ip address for your machine?? do you have a wifi router?? ensure that it is secured.. this usually arises due to ipconflict.. when two or more machines have the same ip address..
i've a wireless router..my wifi is secured using wpa..does ip conflict occur when someone else is trying to access my broadband connection?how do i check for if the static ip address is enabled?
..Post ipconfig/all ...... also mention modem/router model/make....If you have only one laptop and ......using it on WIFI mode, with proper.......security key, your BB cannot be accessed..........What is the static IP you are mentioning ?...........If in doubt change your laptop IP to 192.168.1.50 etc..............Are you using any other Device/s ?
well do you still see that windows message?? if so there is a possibility of somebody else also using your internet.. go to the command prompt and type ipconfig and post output here..
sometimes vista/XP can give erroneous IP address conflict error..WPA is good but not un-crackable..if u want fool proof security enable MAC ID filtration/security on router
