Questionable Adverts on Forum

Earn 50 per post :wacko: that would be like "Come and post all your spams and senseless queries here". How desperate can people get to promote their forums.

well. that is the problem. luring in users from other forums is not a good way to get your forum started.
 
and with the kind of interface they have, i doubt they can keep users for long on their site...
 
Hey Shushubh.. i hv seen an Indian version of the ad similar to the one standing in top let. The ad with 3 tabs.....It was Ebay's i guess. Y dont u try fot it ! It might prove useful to some extent atleast than a link to amazon.com and other US sites !
 
the three tab advertisement service is being blasted in forums and blogs the world over. they ate up 90% of my revenues in the name of auditing. its their coz i dont have a decent replacement for it 😛 i dont think i am earning anything from it. 🙂
 

replace it with a Browser-counter that shows the hits by differnet browser....err...it sux...but buch better than ads!...it wont earn u anything..but then agan when did those ads?

I mean, phpBB 2.x sucks.The new olympus (v3.x) is much better & looks on par with other decent board software - but no mods are made for preview/CVS versions of phpBB, so it still is effectively not yet usable.And by the time 3.x does come out, the other big ones would have AGAIN gone so far ahead of it that it might still stay with my description .IPB (even old versions) is much better. vBulletin is okay, it could do with a few UI refinements.
 
I'd agree with most of ^^ .... IPB cannot even be compared with phpBB the former being much much better, but vBulletin bundled with other mods( vBseo,etc ) and a good template wud be the best IMHO ( but very costly ).So IPB wud be cost effective too ... 🙂
 
i find SMF better than phpbb... if ur lookin for free board... try SMF
