Hi guys I just wanted to share my experience in buying, installation and viewing of my TS+…..
First of all last Wednesday around 11.30 AM it was stunning decision as I decided to buy TS+ as myself I have not thought that I would buy on that day……..then I clarified certain things with the TS CC people regarding the amount I need to pay for TS+ if I opt to buy on that day…after clarification they told me that I need to pay a total sum or Rs. 2496 + Rs 4999 in 2 transaction for procuring TS+ box with Annual Mega Pack……….for Annual mega pack I need to pay Rs. 2496 because I already had a credit for Rs. 1500 (appx) + 1004 (Appx- remaining subscription for my Annual Super Saver Pack till May 12)…………Then after deciding to buy for it then I again called TS CC by 12 PM then I told them regarding my intent to buy……and the CC responded in replying me that first I need to recharge for Rs. 2496 to get into Annual Mega Pack……..to recharge for Rs. 2496 thru IVR Credit Card Banking I punched in every details required………then what happened the IVR said the transaction is not valid…….then I told her can I do recharge thru my HDFC Netbanking (Savings Account)……she said it can be done……..then the CC was on hold then I recharged Rs. 2496 to my TS account but unfortunately after everything is done in the final stages after paying the money the internet explorer came with a display that the page cannot be displayed………but the money from my savings bank account has been deducted and the same amount is not reflecting my TS account……then the CC told me that she will get in touch me in 24 hours time…….and added that if the money is been deducted from my account it should get into my TS account immediately but at my case I was one among the unlucky as the money did not reflect in my TS account………I know that if that was a valid transaction it should reflect in my TS account at the max in 2 – 3 working days or else in 3 – 5 working days the money will be reversed to me……..but I did not had the patience and I wanted to buy the TS+ stb today and was interested in completing the installation on or before Sunday (11/01)……….
Then around 2.00 PM(07/01) I called my known sources in Bangalore Backend office of TS+………..they told my case and told them what happened from the morning……then I request and conveyed them that I wanted to buy TS+ today itself and I suggested them that I am ready to recharge again for Rs. 2496 to get into mega pack and asked them to refund Rs. 2496 transaction if it is getting credited into my account…..they told me that they would do the needful…….then they request me to call the TS CC again to book the TS+ STB …..then I contacted TS CC people and I requested them that I wanted to speak the same lady to whom I spoke in the morning but the CC told me that she is busy with other call and added that she will call me in another 15 – 20 mins time………then by 2.30 PM I got a call from the same CC girl to whom I spoke in the morning…….then I explained what I spoke to the backend office and asked her to do the needful in again doing a transaction for Rs. 2496 and Rs. 4999…….this time when I did the transaction thru credit card every thing went fine……..i recharged for Rs. 2496 and then I bought TS+ STB for Rs. 4999 (payable in 6 EMI’s with 0% interest)………Then I request her to deliver the box at the max by Friday so that the installation could be done on Saturday then I could use TS+ by this weekend itself……..She took my request but told me that she cant guarantee that I could get the TS+ STB but told me that they will try their level best in delivering me the STB on Friday but she also added that box will surely reach me in 3 – 4 working days……….Then I told the same thing to my known source in the Bangalore backend office……….and I thanked them for their help….
Then again next day Thursday (08/01)………I called the TS CC people and I asked them on the status about my TS+ STB they told me that I should be able to get the TS+ STB by Monday (12/01)…….then I told them my request was on for Friday for which she told me that they try push for the delivery of the STB but added that she cant grantee on that…….then I called the know source in the backend office…….unfortunately on that day my known was not there in the office as that day was Muhoram so some one else picked up the call and I explained that guy (Girish) what happened…….and he replied me that he cant help me out today as today TS office is closed due to Muhoram……but he took my request and added that he will try to help me out and added that he will give me a call tomorrow (Friday – 09/01) at 10.30 AM……..
Then the next day Friday (09/01)………by 11.00 AM I got a call from my known source in the backend office and conveyed me that she got the message from the her co worker Giish about my case…..she told me that I should be able to get the TS+ STB by tomorrow (Saturday - 10/01)on or before 12.00 PM………and added before that the courier people will call me and she also promised me that she will make sure that the installation will be done on Saturday itself…..
Then at around 3.00 PM same day (Friday 09/01) I got a call from a courier and asked me the details of my address to deliver the TS+ STB now itself……I was surprised to hear this as I did not expect that to happen today itself……so I requested the courier guy to deliver the TS+ STB to my office rather than delivering it to my house as my wife is also working……..then by 4.00 PM the guy delivered me the TS+ STB box……..
The I contacted my known source in the TS backend office again and she told me to call the TS CC first and to raise the work order for my TS+……then I did the same and then I reverted to her…….then I again gave a call to her conveyed her that work order has been raised….she checked it and told me that she will get in touch with me in 10 mins time……then within 10 mins I got a call from her and she told me that if I require the installation is possible today after 6.00 or tomorrow morning at 10.30 AM…..for which I told her I would be delighted if the installation happens today itself……..then she told me that I will get a call shortly from the engineers……and she had asked me to convey my request time for installation to them……then with in 5 mins I got a call the engineer and he told me that he is ready to come for installation today at 6.00 PM if I am ok……..i told them to come by 6.15 PM …….as by that time I should be able to reach my house to monitor the installation event…….
As promised by the engineers they came to my house by 6.15 PM sharp…….i was surprised to see them coming in bike……as I thought that they will be coming in a Maruti Van as they did for me for the 1st installation 30 months back……….then they started their work and it took nearly 2 hours for them to fix the new dish, wires, drilling etc………..when they doing this I told them that I need to relocate my TS connection from the drawing room to my bedroom………for which they told me that I am eligible for 30 mts of wire if goes more than that I should e paying Rs. 100……..i told first install the wires and at the last we will see that……..i was curious to know why not black dish is not provided to me…….the engineer replied me that the black is for those people who buy TS+ connection by paying Rs. 10000…….for exchange they change the dish which is 5 CM bigger than the existing dish……..so every thing got finished by 8.00 PM……….then there was another surprise to me……as the engineer told me that I should be able to get more clarity in from TS+ STB because of for TS+ there S video output is given and which can plugged into my TV and this enable to give me much better clarity than the existing TS connection…..then he did the same what he said and I was surprised to see that my TS+ Video was excellent and it was much better than TS connection…….and also the audio too…..then the engineer explained me the features of operating the TS+ ………..then the engineers left my house by 8.15 PM……
Then I operated the TS+ and I recorded 2 stuffs on that night one and It was delight to view the recording stuff the next day….and it was a wonder full experience for me too…
Then I called the TS backend on Friday night itself but the call was picked up by Girish and he told me that my known source left for the day and I told him that I wanted to thank him and also my known source for their effort in fulfilling my wished in acquiring the TS+ STB and the installation which happened so quick than I expected for which he added that he will convey it to her……
Then next day morning again my known source called and asked me about the service and TS+ connection …….for which I appreciated her work ……..then she told me that Rs. 2496 amount has been credited to my TS account but she added that Rs. 2496 will be reversed to my HDFC savings bank account immediately but she also added that out of Rs. 2496 …..Rs. 64 will be deducted due to reversal charges but as a good will to the customer she told me that Rs, 64 will be added to my TS account……
About the Pro’s of TS+ in my limited viewing….
[*]Programmes can be recorded at the same time…..
[*]45 hrs of recording cane be done…..
[*]Good options are available to view the recorded stuff
[*]STB looks are great……
[*]Remote punching is like a feather touch feel….
[*]The channel change is bit quicker than the normal TS….
[*]Sigal level and Signal strength are more than the normal TS connection.
[*]Audio and Video Quality is great……
[*]In the guide menu to view the EPG from one category to other category is faster than the normal TS

Cons:
[*]Only 2 tuners are present hence only 2 stuffs can be recorded ……
[*]When 2 stuffs are recorded we can watch only swap between those 2 channels only or else we can watch the recorded stuffs when 2 Programmes are recorded….
[*]Regarding the reminders only reminder can be added if 2 Programmes starts at the same time…..where as with normal TS we can add as much as reminder when the programme is starting at the same time…..
