my iptv works great whether my router is in pppoe mode or bridge mode same is with my internet .but problem is that i am not getting right procedure to view channels on pc as i do not know ip address and ports of channels so that i can stream channel on vlc player.plz tell me how can i know ip and ports of streaming server. i am not able to detect these with help of wireshark as i am not an expert:huh:. i hav also enabled igmp multicast but still not getting ...my router settings hav nas_0_100 and eth03 under port mapping this is request to experts in the forum to share their knowledge....

there was a thread on this long ago.. it should work with wireshark.. ensure that they are connected to the same hub/switch/router.. switch on iptv and change to a specific channel.. and tell wireshark to listen to the correct LAN card.. and you should see the ip address and port of the channel.. i;ve tried this long back. but the results werent great.. for certain channels only audio.. for some video used to get stuck etc.. not even 1 channel worked fine.. this was a year back.. it may have improved now..!!

wireshark shows various tcp udp etc etc There are many addresses and i am not able to detect which one is for selected channelAlso whether i hav to be in always on mode or should dial to connect to internet when in bridge mode and then open wireshark....

i dont know whether my modem should be in pppoe mode or bridge mode to see address and port??//. The screenshot is when my modem has pppoe over ethernet enabled..but i hav not entered my user/pass there, so i dial from my pc..

well i dont think its sort of working from that output.. when i tested it out , i was in ppoe mode.. did you turn on iptv to a specific channel?

When i am in ppoe mode same addresses appear after switching on to specific channel ,even changing channel leads to same.can you tell how channel ip and port looks like

Should i enable igmp multicast .I hav done but fruitless

the day after i posted screenshot i am getting username/pass do not match verification error while dialing.
is it possible to change my password from the information in screenshot
i think some one has done so .
i want to delete that shot.how to do that or i hav to request admin for that..... its urgent .i hav requsted bsnl to check my account for the issue.

you can EDIT your own posts , you should an edit button next to your post..
i dont think that somebody would have done that due to the screenshot especially since you are in bridged mode ( username/password not stored in modem/router). are you able to open http://192.168.1.1 ??

I guess IPTV is in fully operational in Pune, kolkatta.So if we get the IP address, port number for those, can't we use that in bangalore? will it work?

@subbuhk
i doubt that would work.. you could give it a try though..

If it works only from any stream ip adress with publishpoint then it will possible more then 1000%

Just need to get the stream url & all done.
