Last day I had gone to my ISP for renuwal. I came to know that they have started tracking the use of alternate clients by users. Also the clients since offer no MAC binding, it could be a problem for users.Sify may block your accounts or suspend it, later you need to pay a fine for getting that account active. They are doing this from past 2-3 weeks.I dont know how true is the abv information, but my ISP friend told me.

Tell them to kiss my @$$

yup hardly anyone uses original client in my area . supersify+sifyguard rocks 🙂

There is practically no way for them to know whether the client is original or alternate - depending in the implementation of the alternate client, Sify can easily be fooled.

They dont have any right to fool the consumer with their deliberate program. So I guess it is alright to use alternate clients! The Sify client is a crap trap to fool public for exceeding their download limits so you may lose precious days! You cannot force the client to log off automatically!Session details is not clear since it gives continuos session details and saves us to do the math!Cheers all!

@kingkrool:They can very easily come to know . Latest bband client use authentication methods which are not supported by any alternate clients . While alternate clients still uses old method .

cancer10 how can I use Sifyguard ?since the latest Supersify no longer has the files I can link to...the login and logout ones. Cheers all!

Ok I see what you mean. Thanks a ton for the info and the add on. I don't see where the clients would stand without Sifyguard....since it allows one to be in ctrl of the time, dowload limit and logout process.(You can obviously tell I am not an expert at all this ....heh heh)Cheers all!
