This for Vodafone Mumbai prepaid subscribers, who are not already ‘Lifelong’ or ‘Lifetime’ customers & want to become ‘Lifelong’ customers, Vodafone website will tell you about Rs 299/- & Rs 199/- scheme for the same. But if you call 888 in the last week of your prepaid subscription, you will be offered a ‘special Lifelong’ offer for Rs 96/-. For this preferably go to a Vodafone shop, & if the idiots there say it doesn’t exist then ask them to hear the offer on your phone. I am not sure if the other mini stores or other outlets are aware of this offer (Inspite of it existing for many months now) . I had a problem of even the Vodafone store not being aware of it 😡. So much for their offer. Finally I got it done thru their Prabhadevi store.

Yes when my a/c was expiring, i got the same offer by SMS... but i didnt take it.. as i was expecting mobile portability to come and i didnt know if going to lifelong wud bind me to vodafone permanently.

Did you mean there are chances that we won't be allowed to transfer our number if we are a lifetime subscriber? :O

i dont know, it cud be so. we still dont know the rules for transfer.lets say i want to move to airtel.. and airtel checks past record that i hardly make outgoing calls. and all money is already gone to vodafone... why wud airtel accept my number when they will hardly earn anything from me.i feel TRAI will eventually come up with guidelines but providers can come up with tricks.
