Not surprisingly, even MTNL recommends that one of the the first things you should do after setting up your router is change your default password.

But d grrrrrrrr8 MTNL customer care & even d Sub-Div Engg verbally tell u not 2 change default password bcoz they think tht d public r 222222 dumb 2 login 2 d rtr 2 change d password there.

That might be true (never happened to me, never needed to speak to anyone from MTNL since the day I got TriBand, so far), but at least their new user guide gives the right information for people who bother to read it, which I guess must be less than 20% of the users.
 
yeah thats true, the mtnl new user's guide tells us us how to change the password. but hardly anyone bothers to read it. anyways i dont think that by entering someones else's user name n password u will b able to use through ur router.

I changed my password 3 times. First time I did that on my own.

They changed it back to CA number twice. Aprerrently it gets reset to CA numbers when they fix probs with your account.
