Double speeds on Airtel Broadband at Night

so they are promising guaranteed 256kbps unlimited for Rs. 1249? i have not heard abt such a plan 😱

Really they should get the price of 512 plan to be arund Rs.1500 ... I will take tht today itself... 2k is just too much ... 2k+250 taxes ... 2250 🙁

the cc executive told me they can not promise 256 on home 999
but the 1249 plan will have 256
but who knows they may backtrack after some time

^^^yeah just a week back I enquired with Airtel.. and they said no NU plans as of now (atleast here in Chennai) I think they are pushing the 512 UL plan... thats way too costly..

What the hell is Airtel upto yaar??? They can't decrease the speeds so drastically just to force people to opt for their 2k 512 UL plan ... I mean thats plain cheating in my books and they should be taken to task by the TRAI for actually dropping their bandwidth ... This is utter nonsense guys seriously ... I'm on the 999 pm 256UL plan and since the time they upgraded from 128->256 i've never even got close to 30 KBps during the day ... the only respite was the doubled speed at night ... but this suxs bigtime and we shouldn't let Airtel get away with this ... And asking people to shift to the 512UL plan is just plain madness ... money kya yeh CC waale denge ??? My bad memories of the local cablewallah are all coming back where I used to pay exorbitant amounts for 32Kbps and 64Kbps UL connections (yea you read it rite) ... I mean is Broadband a real joke for these guys and they plan in to bring IPTv ... man stop dreaming first get broadband in India and then diversify with its services ... An 8Mbps service with a 8GB limit is nothing more than an advertising gimmick ... nobody pays for a 8 Mbps line just to check e-mails you morons ... Get your act straight airtel and seriously give us a REAL "Broadband" connection

the airtel people are real morons
most of the people on NU plans are actually using night top up for 99 rs with some low priced plan
they can infact end up downloading more than anyone using UL 699 plan by paying half the amount
who makes such decisions to cut our speed but continue providing double speed at night to NU plan

Haha, for some reason those idiots increased the speeds on my connection (128 kbps) and I was downloading stuff at 50-52 kbps up from their capped 10 kbps speed. I downloading like 2 GB data in a day until I was forced to turn off the PC cause of power cut.. which lasted for like 3 mins and when I came back online the speed reset back to 10 🙁Well, tonight we dine with MTNL. With 'we' I mean me of course.
