Reliance Wimax Broadband: Reliance Wimax No Refund Received

I applied for Reliance Wimax on 8th Nov for a 600kbps unlimited connection for which I deposited 4715 advance rental for three months. Inspite of knowing that there is a signal problem in our area the sales man assured me of connection and took the cheque. As the technician came to give the connection on 15th and after thoroughly checking said i will not be able to provide you a connection as there is no signal in your area. He said the deposit money will be refunded after 22 to 30 days. What i mean to say that My money gets blocked in the hands of Reliance for a month for which i get nothing.Is it not the responsibilty of the company to refund the money immediately whom they cannot give any connection?
 
Did you give the money in cash?

To the original poster, i don't think there is anything you can do abt it...
BTW, aren't you only supposed to pay 500 as advance and then their men come and install the antenna ? (Atleast thats what they did for me)..
 
If its a cheque doesn't stop payment work? or they already cleared the cheque?

That's ok.. Even tata takes the full amount including one month advance before installing the connection. But they presented the cheque only after many days.
 
Reliance WiMAX is offering its service without any Security Deposit. So, there is no issue to refunding the money. They are just charging for the Installation charges. So, don't get angry. :thumbsup:

U did not get my point, I have paid an advance rental cheque of 4715 to avoid the installation charges, but as they could not provide the connection for signal problem the money get held up for nearly a month for which i get nothing.
It may be noted I use two other broadband connection i e Tata and Bsnl for which I need not pay any security money
 


why dont you escalate this issue to the higher management ?
 
WHO is the higher authority?I live near Marathalli, Bangalore and I got a Reliance WiMAX connection about 3 weeks back.When the guy came to get the application form filled up, I gave him a cheque of Rs.2185. That is Rs.500 for the installation, Rs.500 for the Wireless Router installation, Rs.1185 for the first month's rental. The guy came to install the connection 4 days after he took the application form. he DID NOT install the wireless router. When I called up the lady who called me up before I got the connection, I was told that the guy lost the form which I had filled up for the wi-fi router. I had to fill up another form and submit it. And it still hasnt turned up. Also, the connection I have taken up is a 400kbps connection and the actual download speed I get is between 15kBps and 20kBps. I raised several complaints through customer care. After several days, I get a call from someone called Sharma. He triec to confuse me and tried to prove to me that for a 400kbps connection, the download I'm supposed to get is 32kBps. I shouted at him and asked him to do something about my speed, he said he'll call me back which he never did.I spoke to someone called Channappa, who's supposedly the technical head of Reliance Bangalore. He said that THEY DONT HAVE ANY COMMITMENT TOWARDS THE SPEED AND IT PURELY DEPENDS ON THE TRAFFIC.I dont know how the hell they give us the connections saying that its a 400kbps connection. I atleast need the 600 bucks what I have given them for the wi-fi router which I have not recieved. I dont know whom to contact, because Reliance has people who have no clue what they're talking about.And oh yeah! I have asked them to disconnect the connection too.Is there any contact numbers which you guys can suggest?And if you've read everything what I've typed above, thanks 😀
 
Hi Dude.. I stay in Marathalli (Near BrandFactory).. I have the broadnet connection.. Do you know the contractor? If its Karavali then they are No.1 A******... My connection goes down after every 10 days.. And it takes them 2 weeks to work on that !I have sent you an e-mail ID .. check it out..
 
Hohoho... dude, is that mail ID real? Is it the same person as what it says?Anyway, I'm not bothered about it now. The contractor is someone from Jeevan Bhima Nagar. No idea about the name. FYI... I was told that there are too many customers from Marathalli side and the tower is too full for it to be able to give us proper speeds/connection. So they are putting in a another tower which will take another month for it to be ready. But I'm not willing to wait for another month, pay 1200 bucks for a 120kbps connection to these idiots and get more pis*ed. I have called up BSNL and asked them to re-instate the connection which I had disconnected about 3 weeks back.
 
You can send a mail on the e-mail ID, giving references of all the complain number and the persons you spoke .. trust me.. it may help ! Give a try...
 
Original poster - Have you received any update on this?I am having the same problem. Signed up and paid installation advance of Rs. 4,716 in January 09 and have not heard from them in 3 months after the cheque cleared in 3 days.Does anyone have details/address of Reliance WiMAX offices in the Pune/Camp area?This is a very very serious business fraud and is not accidental if it has happened to more then one person.
