This program was made by a company called Red Ice Creations, a swedish outfit.

I think they are trying to cash in on the same ignorance as Alex Jones :notallowed:

My suggestion to admin is create a section named 'Conspiracy Theory & Junk Science' and move this thread in there

except your stunned shock mind telling us whats so unscientific about our "vehems" mr blr_p😛leasehelp::clap:

For starters nowhere in the first few parts of that rubbish i wasted my time with, was intensity of the transmission mentioned. All they blather on is microwave this or that. This is the kind of loose reporting that is crafted more to scare than to inform.

lookie here boy there aint no smoke where there aint no fire awrye?

😗 now did you spend anytime at all?

if you did you wouldnt have missed the first link in the article mentioned in the original post.

2.4 mW/Kg Electromagnetic Frequencies

:hysterical::hysterical:

hope you get your "high" from the "scientific rigour" of "numerical" DATA!!

go crunching!! :urock:

I was referring to the program, on youtube, where all that was mentioned is some guy measured the intensity at a cell phone transmission tower and compared it to a wi-fi router and said it was 3 times as much !!!I did not bother with your other links as they were "Blogs", not exactly sources of credible information. Can you cite me a similar report in a reputed publication ?..for someone thats "yet to start working" i'd tone down the arrogance if i were you!

arrogance? :icry: im just sooo sad about this entire affair!!

now now a little bit of fun and leg pulling shouldnt be classified as arrogance where is your funny bone mr bangalore :O or has the fluoroscent lighting behind your lcd monitor and in your room made you a zombie devoid of emotions? o shiyt. u wont believe thats possible even? a little white tubelight or the thousands worth LCD monitor could do that?? nooo wayyy ull need referencess you naughty scientific boyyy here is your "numbers/scientific" medicine. look under subhead health and safety/ reference no. 16 URL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fluorescent_lamp

From your wiki article..

Fluorescent lamps emit a small amount of ultraviolet (UV) light, and a 1993 study in the US found that UV exposure from sitting under fluorescent lights for eight hours is equivalent to only one minute of sun exposure.

Since fluorescent lamps produce a small amount of UV light, they can trigger problems among individuals with very high pathological sensitivity to ultraviolet light. In rare cases, they can induce disease activity in very photosensitive individuals with Systemic lupus erythematosus. In rare cases, fluorescent lighting can also induce depersonalization and derealization, subsequently, it can worsen depersonalization disorder symptomology.Research on these rare cases is very limited and cause and effect often cannot be duplicated.

Effectively tube lights do not affect the majority of ppl and are not the health risk you think it is!

Oh they do affect 'some' but how many is this 'some' ?

You might think its cool to tell ppl how dangerous these things are but i think its downright bogus, given the connection is tenous at best.

Uh-huh and wrt to your "red ice creations" video. There is not a SINGLE paper about wi-fi in that list. So what that program was saying is there are EMF effects so since wi-fi is EMF therefore Wifi is dangerous. This kind of logic appears ok but is a joke.

This research on EMF has been ongoing for a long time now (given the dates of the various papers) so tell me why has not one successful case been fought against a cell phone manufacturer ?

If as all these papers suggest, there is a 'risk'. There should be tons of evidence by now isn't it. And cell phone use has exploded literally over the last 10 years worldwide. So given the evidence & number of users this means that if there were a problem, something ought to have happened by now.

Why no doctors coming together at some important conferrence stating the dangers ?

All we hear are bits here & there that say there 'might' be a risk. This clearly indicates there is no consensus and until that happens how is it possible for one to conclude Wi-fi is 'dangerous' ?

Look, whenever i read or listen to these "programs" i have one very simple criteria.

How much are you informed vs. how much are you scared ?

If its the latter you can safely conclude its not well researched out and the guest "researcher' on that program was defnitely winging most of it and the useless host just makes him talk, no counter points nothing.

@techfun its always good to be wary and cautious of everything modern Lifestyle is bringing to us at such maddening pace which doesnt let anyone settle down and think of whats happening.@bangalore.doctors? :hysterical::hysterical: they will feed you whatever medicines the med rep from the pharmacy company asks them to sell! docs make money on all weird meds they sell. wrong ones right ones. they don't care. the profession is sold in america and in india. tsk tsk and you wonder why they dont come out in the open? some do, no one funds them, but they are funded to keep silent and even botch up their reports to favour the manufacturers.why doesnt it come in the media? the media is sold as well sir!! one man rupert murdoch controls a large pie of the media which matters in the world. similar is the case in india. when media isnt making money it will bring in the defaulters in focus and eat money from them to stop airing news on them. remember the chennai university SRU medical seat scam was blown up by Times group recently. where did that news fizzle out? SRU paid 50 crores to silence Times group. lets go backa bit further remember IIPM building was going to be sealed in delhi during demolitions? they paid a cool 10 crores to wiggle out of the media attention on them and another cool 10 crores to the municipal officers.this day and age is of CONTRACTS. CONTRACTS to sell every man and woman as a mere DEAD OBJECT. good morning :grin:as sad as it sounds its true. :icry:now when you say How much are you informed vs. how much are you scared ? there is a third criteria how much are you or your family members affected. wait when your ma gets cataract sitting in the tube light. wait when your pa get cancer using mobiles. wait till your children come out deformed or your wife has multiple miscarriages god forbid and you keep scratching your head over whats going wrong. no im not scaring you. im just letting you know its better to be aware and err on the safer side when it comes to the explosion of technology happening around you.in medieval era religious indoctrination and inhuman punishments were used to keep the vast swathes of population under control. such things cant keep people under control anymore. what helps keep people in control? the chemicals in your food chain or the EMF which surrounds you etc. or the media which honks incessantly in your tv etc.😛leasehelp:unfortunately you cite information like one minute in the sun. oh really.. can you please find out who funded that research? NEMA? the organisation of lamp manufacturers themselves? you want to believe that? Goodluck man Gooodluck :urock:trut me this is no fight with you i love you as a fellow human being in the same boat and dont want you or anyone to suffer. its just the choices we make which land us in shytpots in life and certainly awareness of right/wrong choices always helps. :urock:

Heh, i'd rather concentrate on what DOES matter than what isnt backed by anything. If you are not aware of this then you get carried away with every bloody fad & scare that comes out. I'd say you're the one that needs the good luck :ishock:

None of the publications i read have mentioned any of these. They talk about quite a few other things but over time you get jaded. Today its this, tomorrow its that. Day after its something else and contradicts day before. And this has been going on for a long time now.

One of my relatives used to follow this sort of thing for a few years with health reports etc and after decided to give it up as it was mostly alarmist & contradictory in nature and made not much difference to his life.

SO the conclusion i get from this sort of thing is not to be taken seriously. If you have an issue your doctor's all you got. A regular health check keeps your risks down.

now when you say How much are you informed vs. how much are you scared ? there is a third criteria how much are you or your family members affected. wait when your ma gets cataract sitting in the tube light. wait when your pa get cancer using mobiles. wait till your children come out deformed or your wife has multiple miscarriages god forbid and you keep scratching your head over whats going wrong. no im not scaring you. im just letting you know its better to be aware and err on the safer side when it comes to the explosion of technology happening around you.

Oh really so, what exactly is your solution then ?

Going by your previous posts, no tubelights, wifi, TVs or computers, cellphones & microwave ovens. Righhhhht!!!

Why don't we go back to tilling the land, be in bed at sundown & up at the crack of dawn to milk the cows.

Cataracts are a pretty routine operation nowadays for elder folk, some relatives of mine had to undergo and they were up & about a few days after.

The other things you mentioned could be caused by several other factors having nothing to do with EMF. If you appreciate they also happened before we even had any EMF emitters around. Actually a lot of ppl died back in the olden days for reasons we now find difficult to comprehend.

Hey why was there any progress at all, i mean all those thing you said about contracts, shouldn't we still be dying of malaria & small pox. Why has life expectancy increased from 40 to nearly 80 since independence ?

unfortunately you cite information like one minute in the sun. oh really.. can you please find out who funded that research? NEMA? the organisation of lamp manufacturers themselves? you want to believe that? Goodluck man Gooodluck :urock:

What about the bit were it says they cant show cause & effect.

trut me this is no fight with you i love you as a fellow human being in the same boat and dont want you or anyone to suffer. its just the choices we make which land us in shytpots in life and certainly awareness of right/wrong choices always helps. :urock:

Awareness is good provided the info is credible. I dont see any of that in anything you have posted quite frankly.

It becomes like that colour coded terrorism indicator where everyone is threatened but its mostly of use to law enforcement and nearly useless to the public.

development vs non development is an old debate and is still raging everywhere with climate change the latest avtaar of it. many people say its true many say its propoganda. eventually studies come for both sides and its just upto you to decide. but frankly im all for development provided its not harmful to humans.however when it comes to health its not some debate about features/performance of a gadget or software or some other random thing. so its always better to be careful rather than aim for one oneupmanship.the solution is already mentioned in one of the posts in this thread.. which is moderation... the way to go. in addition i personally try moderation then minimizing, de-habituating, finding an alternative way and finally saying bye bye to whatever is the culprit.i'm fully convinced with personal experience and seeing the overall situation and re modified the Lifestyle to quite an extent. In such a debate where we both are firmly rooted in our stances and unwilling to budge and where studies are numerous its down to your personal attitude and belief towards risk taking/caution so i suggest we agree to disagree amicably

Our body and mind are quite resilient and can tolerate a moderate amount of abuse; only when a critical limit is exceeded, irreversible and irreparable damage results.

however when it comes to health its not some debate about features/performance of a gadget or software or some other random thing. so its always better to be careful rather than aim for one oneupmanship.

Here is the problem
- one report says it 'may' be bad.
- Another says we cannot find a strong correlation.
- Yet another says we found a good correlation in this particular circumstance.

What is your conclusion ?

i'm fully convinced with personal experience and seeing the overall situation and re modified the Lifestyle to quite an extent.

Oh, how so ?
