Hi, I've been using 512 combo Unlmited plan and paying 2000 Rs with 500 free calls(excluding tax). MTNL has recently reduced the rates to 1300 and I'm suppose to be paying 1300 + modem rent + tax. I have just checked on MTNL Billing site and they have billed me additional Rs. 500 as monthly rent whoa!!! Obviosuly there was some glitch while processing revised rates and they r treating me to be on 512 unlm and not 512 combo umlimited.Can you guys check if its same for all or I am just an exceptional case. Edit : since it seems that all combo users have been overcharged i have changed the subject. Sunny

yeah there seems to be something wrong wid my bill too..i was earlier on 899 Combo..my bill use to be 899+ taxes..No rent..I migrated to 599 Combo and now bill is 599+ 100 Rs rent + taxes..I'm not sure why they r including rent in Combo plans??😕😕

Oh! thank god! i m not alone..yes same thing with me i was on 500(450 free calls) +199(400mb free) plan and migrated to combo 649 with 200 calls free + 5GB data free..my bill is 649 + 500 +tax but it should be 649+tax. they have charge 500 extra.

yeah they are charging 100 Rs extra..Need to get the billing issue sorted out...But i'm not sure how to go about it.
i think this will definitely be sorted out.. for me it is a mistake of cust care who did not changed my previous plan and merged my new plan with it..thankfully I retain the carbon copy of application + mtnl new tariff plans notification which is already on web..

Nope Shine... Mistake is that their system thinks combo plans doesnt include rent.This has to be because when they changed plan rates, they messed up. If I am not wrong 10000's of users are affected by this. They will have to fix it up but this can really ruin their name for overcharging.I have a feeling Media might show interest in this topic. I think this will be fixed on its own after enough complaints have been logged to make them realise m wht they have done.Anyways I am not going to do much apart from giving a written application to accounts officer and take the acknowledgement(for future action if needed). yeah! it's 100 bucks extra for me..Need to get this sorted out or else they will add 100 Rs extra in every bill.well, it's not the people who are migrated to combo plans from any other plan are effected, i was on Combo plan only.I didn't give application for change of plan so it's obvious that there is something wrong with their system..yeah! there might be a lot of people who will be effected as a result of this...MTNL will surely look into this once the number of complaints grows regarding this issue.What i feel is that MTNL will fix this and would adjust the next bill accordingly by reducing the 100 Rs or 500 Rs they charged extra this time around.
@boy You have made 72 calls in the month, thats why its showing free calls as 72. Till 200 it will keep showing u as many as free calls as you have made so you dont really have to worry about it. Only problem is they are adding rent to combo plans which shouldn't be case. Just mak a complaint to nearby accounts manager and im sure this will be fixed. Sunny
