I have applied for BSNL Home250 plan and paid the required money. But I am not getting the MODEM form BSNL since one week. Can I access Broad brand form my Laptop. In COM4 Motorola SM56 data fax modem is connect. Will any one help me Pl? I am a newbie ?
No you cannot use Dial-up modem. You need ADSL modem.
Have you paid for modem too? Else you can buy from market. If already paid, contact the BSNL officers and ask them to provide the modem.

Finally your plan has limited usage so be aware of that, otherwise you will get huge bills.

Connect to NETONE dialup with this modem. Internet charges free till 31st october2008. reduced telephone charges.
Register on line.
Select the city nearest to your location and access the web site List of Cities where Netone is available.
Now you have registered for a connection, there is a discountof 20% on BB rental for next six months ! Effective from date your connection is given.
When Broadband connection is made this can be standby !
