Increasing Number of Sify Broadband subscribers

Well It has been for just more than a year that I have been using Sify BB.When I signed up 1 yr back...on their homepage broadband.sify.com they used to say 15000 "satisfied" customers.......now they say over 50,000 "satisfied"customers....So interms of numbers I feel adding 35,000 is quite an accomplishment.......no no i am not a sify spy 🙄

they have users coz they took the simplest way to spread the network. which other ISP is relying on cable guys to spread the network? which other ISP has so many hate channels? search for sify on the internet. even if u skip my pages every other user has bad experiences with sify. other might charge more. none has such a worse record.

Havin 50,000 Bband users all over india is not a BIG deal i guess.As far as i'm being told, there are around 300 CTOs in Delhi itself, n they say every CTO has more than 100 users with him...n there r other CTOs who have over 2000 users also.Now if we go by these stats, i guess there must be over 10,000 users alone from delhi......that leaves 40,000 for rest of india...dont u think therez somethnig wrong with these figures ? ehh?

Well, yeah, Sify might well have many customers because they have tied up with CTOs everywhere who have a prescence all over urban India. Also Sify's competitors, the Telecom Companies, as of now feel reluctant to lay their cables even all over Delhi, forget about all over India. So the customer has to choose mostly between BSNL/MTNL and Sify for internet access. Though now consumers might have one more choice with Reliance having started to offer internet through CDMA mobiles/ fixed phones at flat rates of Rs. 650 and Rs. 1500. Atleast Reliance has a wide network due to the wireless nature of CDMA. BTW even Sify has a wireless infrastructure beyond all our LANs.
