Formula-1 News and Updates

I was searching for Massa's on board cockpit view video on youtube.. but couldnt find..🙁

I said it was Massa's mistake but you cant say that it was deliberate if that was delibrate then i believe every move of hamilton starting from candian GP when he hit kimi in the back is deliberate😡......I believe hamilton does not have brain he is agressive but i dont think he is a smart driver i tell you this because of trun 1 incident which has happend in fuji race..........if he had brain even kimi was 1st in turn 1 he should not have bothered about it all......as his rival was behind him only.......the end result massa gained 2 more points and hamilton 0:hysterical:

😀...

Raikkonen and Massa are brainless persons 😀:hysterical:

that Raikkonen hit Adrian Sutil in Monaco GP deliberately 😡 whats that...

I am happy that the brainless person kimi had won last year's championship by 1 hamilton and i hope the same it happens to brainless massa too:hysterical: the end result hamilton again lossing the championships from winning position:hysterical:Tak my words asdfgf still a drama is left in this years championships i believe some thing is going to happen in this years championships and i believe some thing unexpected might also happen as i believe there is a possibility that kubica might also win the champshinships if hamitons not able to finish or get championships point in 1 race and massa finishing 7th or 8th in a race and kubica finising 1st means there will be 3 way tie up for brazalian GP ........

in Monaco, Raikkonen anger seen higher as he deliberately hit Sutil from behind .. had he hit somewhere else he would have been dead probably 😀

I think lewis hamilton will be happy what you say in this forum.........Anyways every one knows what hamilton is all about. Even the fellow drivers of the F1 most of them are not happy with hamilton.....

For this race the weather seems to be good...........

Bruno Senna set for Honda test
GP2 front-runner aiming for F1 in 2009
15/10/08

Bruno Senna is expected to test for Honda's F1 team next month.

"I see myself in Formula One soon, or at least I hope so," the nephew of the late triple world champion Ayrton Senna is quoted as saying by Spain's Diario Sport newspaper.

It is unknown where the 24-year-old GP2 runner-up's Honda test will take place, but it is expected to occur sometime after the season ending Brazilian grand prix, which Senna will attend.

Along with Toro Rosso, Honda is among his best chances to make his Grand Prix debut in 2009.

The Brackley-based Honda team has not yet confirmed either of its current drivers, Jenson Button and Rubens Barrichello, for next season.

It was rumoured at Fuji Speedway that an announcement could take place at Interlagos, which is set to stage the final race of 2009 near Senna's birthplace Sao Paulo early in November.

In related news, it is now believed that Danica Patrick, the popular female driver of the American open wheeler series IndyCar, is not scheduled to test for Honda's F1 team any time soon.

A big winter test programme for Raikkonen
''Kimi will do approximately 9000 kilometres'' - Costa
15/10/08

Kimi Raikkonen, to next month be deposed as F1's world champion, is facing a long winter of on-track preparations for the 2009 season.

Ferrari Technical Director Aldo Costa has told a Finnish newspaper that the 28-year-old, who has struggled recently with the F2008 car, will take responsibility for a 'large part' of the team's test programme ahead of next year.

"Kimi will do approximately 9000 kilometres, or 30 Grand Prix distances," Costa is quoted as saying by Turun Sanomat.

"In one month's time he will drive many more laps than during the entire season," he added.

Raikkonen is hoping the sweeping new regulations for 2009 allow him to return to contention for the title.

"So much is going to change," the Finn said. "Around Christmas time we will see exactly how it is going and how much we have improved or not."

Since last Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix, Raikkonen has faced renewed claims that he is no longer fully motivated.

By finishing third in the Fuji race, the Ferrari driver dropped out of mathematical contention for the 2008 crown, but he seemed not to realise this when he faced the media.

Asked by a reporter for the French sports publication L'Equipe if he still rates his chances of winning this championship, Raikkonen answered: "There's always a chance.

"I saw last year that things can go right or wrong, so we keep pushing and trying."

A few days later, he defended his error.

"I didn't think of the title really after Spa, because that would have been the only way to control the point situation. Now it was just a matter of time when it was over," he explained.

Hamilton denies Senna claim
''I think he's the best driver there ever was''
15/10/08

Lewis Hamilton has denied claiming he is a better driver than was his hero, the late triple world champion Ayrton Senna.

We reported earlier this month that the McLaren driver and championship challenger was the subject of criticism in the German press, with the broadcaster RTL pronouncing him a 'megalomaniac'.

Hamilton was quoted as saying: 'I know that I am as good as Ayrton Senna was.'

After the Japanese Grand Prix, the Briton was asked whether he actually feels he is better than the great Brazilian.

"I never said that - and I definitely wouldn't say it about Ayrton because he's my favourite driver. I think he's the best driver there ever was and, to this day, I still don't believe anyone would beat him.

"If I could achieve just a small part of what he's achieved, it would be a dream for me," Hamilton said.

He was also asked to respond to claims that he is often perceived as being over-confident and arrogant, and explained that his belief in himself often comes across wrong.

"Sometimes I've said things that have either come out the wrong way or been taken out of context so people get a different feeling of what I've said when I haven't expressed myself correctly. I'm only human and every now and then people make mistakes.

"Communication is so important in life and some of the things I've said were not meant to harm anyone. I don't feel like I've hurt anyone," Hamilton said.

yeah. he needs to do that testing. he is now the second driver in the team 😛

By finishing third in the Fuji race, the Ferrari driver dropped out of mathematical contention for the 2008 crown, but he seemed not to realise this when he faced the media.

Asked by a reporter for the French sports publication L'Equipe if he still rates his chances of winning this championship, Raikkonen answered: "There's always a chance.

so he is thinking that hamilton or masssa would be stripped of his points?! :O

Standardising Formula One machinery
Five-year FIA cost-culling plan revealed
15/10/08

A British newspaper has revealed the FIA's five-year plan to radically slash costs, with the body's president arguing Formula One has become 'unsustainable'.

The centrepiece of the package, to be discussed with the F1 teams' alliance FOTA next week in Geneva, is the standardisation of expensive car parts that add little to the show.

The London publication The Times claims that Bernie Ecclestone, the Chief Executive of F1's commercial rights holder, backs the Max Mosley-devised plan to 'dramatically' cut costs.

Among the measures is the introduction of a controversial standard engine design for 2010, additional energy recovery systems and fuel-efficient engines for 2013, and many 'common parts' for the chassis.

"We are completely open to new ideas," Mosley, albeit insisting that engines must be made available to small teams at a low cost, said in a letter to the team bosses.

An FIA spokesman said he will not comment prior to the meeting.

FIA proposes radical cost-cutting ideas

Wednesday, 15 October 2008 11:40

The FIA has outlined proposals for how radical cost-cutting measures could be achieved in Formula 1 from 2010 in the wake of the global financial crisis.

In the letter, the governing body outlines three proposals for 2010-2012 which include the introduction of a standardised engine – which both Mosley and F1’s commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone last week said could be a solution to spiralling costs.

Shanghai race preview

Tuesday, 14 October 2008 00:00

At times in Japan both Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa looked like they were trying their best not to win the world championship.

Hamilton didn’t need to put his race in jeopardy with a first corner lunge any more than Massa needed to risk a near-certain penalty by running into his title rival one lap later.

Neither can afford to get involved in such antics in China this coming weekend.

Twelve months ago, Hamilton came to Shanghai looking imperious – sitting on a 12-point championship lead with two races remaining.

He then took a commanding pole position and utterly dominated the wet early stages of the race, only to throw away a likely win by staying out too long on wilting rain tyres and then sliding inelegantly into a pit lane gravel trap when he finally tried to come in for slicks.

http://www.itv-f1.com/popups/imageviewer.aspx?i=45745_2.jpgThat result probably contributed more to his ultimate defeat in the title race than the problems he then encountered in Brazil – and led to more questions about his and McLaren’s approach.
