Ferrari: Final F2008 updates in Japan
Tuesday, 07 October 2008 17:41
Ferrari has confirmed it is introducing its final development update of the season for this weekend’s Japanese Grand Prix as it bids to bounce back from its Singapore calamities.
The defending world champion squad heads into the season’s final three rounds trailing McLaren in both title races, a single point adrift in the constructors’ standings and Felipe Massa seven behind Lewis Hamilton in the drivers’.
And while McLaren has its final upgrade planned for the season-finale in Brazil next month, Ferrari is bolting the final set of new parts onto its F2008 in Fuji.
“The F2008 will feature some new updates in Fuji, which constitute the latest development parts and also the final update for this season, as the car will run to the same specification in China and Brazil,” a team preview said.

Felipe Massa has warned Lewis Hamilton that he will fight for the title until the bitter end.
Hamilton is now seven points ahead of the Brazilian going into the final three rounds of the championship, but Massa says he has no intention of giving up yet.
"We are still seven points behind, but we still have 30 points in front of us," he said.
"We're going to do the best we can to fight until the last lap in the last race.
"I think we still have a big possibility in front of us, and we will not give up, that's for sure."
