In early 2000s Macau—a city that runs on gambling, and as a consequence, never sleeps—a VIP client servicing manager Xiao-ou works in a casino. Originally from Beijing, she’s recently left Las Vegas with her young son for a fresh start after a rough separation from a gambling addict.
