Welcome people. I wont be attempting to break the encryption for BBClient 3.0 . Not because i cant, but because i dont want to. Personally, i think this reeks of entrapment. However if someone breaks it and posts the procedure into the public domain, i will be happy to update ES. In other words, No attempt from me to crack the encryption.
 
Some of us ae already planning to break it for ya... Max and Tushar and me... let us join forces.
 
Yep. Bhaskar, I have already begun checking out the DLLs but it will take time as I too have my exams right now and will be finishing them by the 12th only. I have a lot of projects after that time, but will try to max time to understanding the encryption scheme! Please do help us out! I will be primarily working on a Linux / Java client and little on Windows client.
 
on mine still 28....both easy sify and supersify work well
 

Sify have provided the v3.1 client in my area, but I am still able to login using the old authentication method. That is, the old linux client (1.3) works, and manually logging in using telnet is no problem either.Do sify plan to indefinitely support the old login process? I asked the customer care about this, but they (no surprise) just disconnected me.
 
There must be some kind of backward compatibility that Sify is maintaining right now...
 
I think sify is disabling the old protocol phase by phase. So ultimately it will reach you. Thats when you should check if the Linux client works...
 
yeh maybe linux clients still use older url's and method so those authentication method is still there but once they stop old methods then we will be stucked with their bloaty clients 🙁
 
Yeah, sad thing if the old protocol stop working.Then we will all have to do what your avatar is doing.
 
hey guys im using sify.. but right now iam unable to use the linux client.. it gives me an error saying " Download Latest Version" ... my dialer version is 1.2 ..... but ppl in customer care giving me the same website address from where i downloaded this version.... any guys have any idea? any new client available?
