Gearbox issue from older Linea (Classic) is still unresolved in new Linea. 1st and 2nd gears have weird ratios on MJD. Strangely, Maruti and Tata have got it right in their cars. Interiors and plastic quality is still no where near to Honda. Feature wise, its lacks a shine when compared to new City. Last and most important, 1.3L MJD is no justice for a car with this class and price. Give me a 1.6 and I am sold. I was badly expecting this in new Linea. And at a same time, Honda was readying new City with 1.5L diesel, 100PS power, 26km/l mileage, no infamous turbo lag and with lot of gizmos and features.
 
lol yeah. driving this car is a pain in city traffic because of poor gearstick and ratios. i would have sold it by now if work was not in a shithole.
 
You own a Linea! That's great. You may not fetch a good resale value for classic linea now. If you have kept it in a good condition and want to sell it in future, try to sell it to car enthusiastics you know personally or on forums like team bhp. You will find many takers there wanting to buy it at much better price than average joe having no value of legacy of fiat.
 
Have gotten a quote of Rs. 3 lakhs from several sources for my 2009 top end diesel model. A friend is ready to buy it for 3.5 lakhs. Plan to keep it for 2 more years at least. Have driven it for just 32000KMs.

Never Sell or BUY a CAR from a Friend.
if you like & care for your friendship, keep the vehicle things miles apart.
although there may be exceptional case where this works out very well, I've seen a couple of disasters and always have this fear.
