I have a wifi Beetel 450BXi modem by which i am running 2 laptops & 4 pc's, now i want to allow access to only two sites on rest of machines & full access on only my machine, is it possible & how come, waiting for a positive reply, thanks in advance.

Not sure if that Beetel 450BXi has the feature to block sites. If yes, just open the router page http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.1.1 go to 'Block Sites' and enter the domain.

Also, there r many third party Parental Control s/w available through which you can block the sites.... Just google them 😗

access to only two sites on rest of machines
Which are the only two sites you will allow to other 5 computers ?

Is it possible to block thousands of web sites? and allow only two ? A tall order.

using the article 19 of the constitution.
you sir are a tyrant, fascist.sorry for these harsh words but if you want to only allow 2 sites to work then just disconnect the net.guys like you give freedom and net neutrality a bad name.

those who give liberty for security neither deserve both-benjamin franklin(freedom proponent)

on the other hand if you really want your children not to acess xxx sites then downlaod net nanny.also intnernt security software like kaspersky, mcafee allow internet restrictions.

but still imo you hate freedom

Thanks for the compliment, but it is necessary to be so harsh & a tyrant, but just think for just a min that if in your office you are boss & your subordinates chat on yahoo & orkut during work hours & surf on net downloading garbage, affecting their productivity, despite of telling them not to do so, they do so, so i want it to get blocked they can surf the net after office hours but they have to only surf during office hours, so it is better to block the net access for those garbage sites, so then your words are very true my dear friend , yes you are right i am tyrant, as i am paying them to work not to download garbage, any more comments my dear.

the best software is fortiguard,it is the best filter out there.
but still persuasion is better than stick

If you open in IE 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.1/main.html this page access control will appear in the menu. Any way, even if you unselect the options you also cannot surf the websites ! because the modem is common.Para two : 1.You say they can access only your two official sites..2.What they do after that ? do they give replies/ edit the data/customer queries etc ?.. 3.What is the browser used in each computer ? .....4.Do you allow File sharing and printing, in the LAN ? . .......5.Can they access the data direct from your server instead of going via Internet ?? ( like in banks Every counter accesses the database of the customer , makes entries ,like payment/withdrawal/transfer/FD Int etc etc (*conditions apply)Para three : Carrot and stick policy.Check History of each computer at the end of the day ( without their knowledge)(As admin you should prevent deletions ).Reward sincere employees say at the weekend. Movie tickets ? T shirts / fancy gifts etc ? can be added to office expenses and save IT too!!!!

Create yourself an account with OpenDNS.com. follow all the instructions to setup your router. you have the option to block unwanted sites. the router should be configured to provide the systems ith the opendns servers ip's. and after you have done this, run the command ipconfig /flush dns on your laptop and change the DNS servers ip's only on your laptop to 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2. this way your network will use opendns (where you can block all the sites) and you will be out of it. In ase you need more help, IM me on GTalk my id is naveen.rangaswamy
