Hacking into my PC

That details I already got from whois.

It's in mumbai only..

but i wanted some specific location.

can u ask all ur friends using sify pool to check what they r getting when they visit

Gracy, what exactly do you want to sue the person who owns that IP for?

Well sorry i was laughing at your very curiosity!!The thing is the IP you stated is only the Server IP of Sify and not the actual person's IP (Even that can be spoofed).The things you can do to find out who the person is:1) Register a complaint with Cyber Cell mumbai Division. The time and date at which the penetration was carried at your computer is very Important. Based on your complaint you can send your request to Sify to give details regarding who was the person trying to connect to your IP at that particular instant !!2) Stop worrying and get back to work !! 🙂 It really tough task for an individual to know who connected to your computer. !! If you were some ISP it can be done easily 😉Anyways... use some good firewall and just relax not data is so important on our computer which might be useful to a hacker (practically speaking)But yes if you want total security your inqusitiveness is quite valid.

This is absolutely stupid.1. You can't convict a person based on IP address2. In a LAN environment you can convict a person based on his MAC address evenBesides, 99% chance is that the owned of the IP that tried "hacking" into your PC wasn't even aware of what was happening. His computer might be infect by a worm / trojan / virus that may be trying to spread in the LAN...

yup what max said is true.u need some good proof to do things like that.and my openion is "heet ka jawab pathar se".u know his/her ip,just learn little abt ha*k stuff and give him a little shock.

Leave tht poor guy alone... a serious hacker need not scan for vulnarable PCs. A simple email to you that entices you to open a web page is normally suffecient to take control of PCs.

Every browser is vulnarable at any point of time. Its just that these security holes are not know to script kiddies. They come to light when pathes ar eready for general public. Any seriuos hacker would know of these holes.

I kind of answered my own argument with "Well I can use Lynx" and seems that even a pure text browser is not free from vulns.
