Is the Delhi SAM Server problematic today?

i need access to pings and tracert to external IPs. none of the sify customer care guys respond to my mails any longer.

Stop pullin ur hairs (not of ur head silly 😛 )Its of no use, they rarely turn on this special facility wich we call PING.Most of the time its off.May be the admin thinks, ping means hacking , lolz.

well pings banning actually was useful with a particular worm which appeared a couple of months ago. but to keep it banned even now is absolutely stupid.

Its been over 8 months now, n i have only faded memories that ping worked once in a while over these 8 months.Beside that, if its related to some virus/worm, i'll suggest Sify to use SifySecure on their servers as well 😀Howz that for Virus security 😉

That HeartBeat Funtion (HSbeat.exe) is jus an eye wash, it never worked well so they terminated it in the beginin itself.[/b]

Heartbeat thing is active on quite a few users' connections 😉. I have seen two customers on the same LAN as me getting asked by Zone Alarm that should HBSBeat.exe be allowed to connect right when they log onto Sify. It's been disabled in my case though from Sify's end and my HBSBeat.exe doesn't connect to Sify anymore.
