Hi guys,

I know we all are struggling with torrent speeds. Ive seen many posts asking, how to increase the torrent speed.

Finally i found a complete solution for this. Now, Im getting a download speed of 300kbps:yahoo:. My cousin is getting 600kbps:dance:.

Friend, first of all, think this is not a forwarding forum. You could have told the same in this forum.

There, you cant even see what are those settings which makes your torrent speed go crazy !

Im always loyal to any forums.
Actually i got the video sample from my cousin.
Initially i thought to post the exact URL of that video. But i cud'nt find the exact URL. Thats y, posted in the blog and provided the URL.
Also, ive mentioned that the video is from metacafe, not developed by me.
I dont want anyones credit.
Only tried to help BSNL torrent strugglers.
Thats all.

The above video is mentioning the setup for bit comet and will it work for utorrent? And in your blog you have given the pictures for utorrent so please post the settings to be changed in utorrent it will be helpful for me as well as people using utorrent to get good speed while using torrent.Thanks..

Well.. I didnt see any speed change after doing as per video. I got two videos .. both are by different persons saying the same stuff !

Here are the changes according to them

Go to preferences...

45682 is the port

1890 Maximum no. of connections
2329 Maximum no. of peers per torrent
14 No of upload slots per torrent

Protocol Encryption Outgoing: Enabled(default is disabled)

Max no. of active torrents : 60
Max No. of active downloads :63


These are the settings in the video... Check it out urself..

The above things are in under preferences , different menus

mentioned in the video can also be done for uTorrent. (Check out the screen shots).

uTorrent. Also, dont allow to many connections, that can only increase to upload speed. (Your problem will defenitly solve. I promise).

Its easy to blame something, but hard to accept. I've mentioned in the very
begining that i only wanted to help you all peoples, struggling with torrents. Bcz, i
struggled a lot before with torrents. I's getting only 80kbps in the begining.
But the video-sample improved everything. Not only for me, for my friends too. You
wont trust me until you get the real speed. Because, "truth is stranger than fiction".

anyways.. as you said "it is hard to believe"If your speed is 256, you cant expect getting 100-200KBps speed. My connection is 256 and speedtest and other including direct download gives me a speed of 512kbps. (64KBps). So, i get the same in torrent aswell. So, i hope and am sure that i cant get more than 64-68KBps even on torrent (on a 256kbps connection) Since you were getting 80kBps on a 2mbps connection, might have worked for you, as you should get more than 200kBps !anyways.. all the best guys...

This is a stupid suggestion. This is way too high, and will choke your connection with too many TCP connections, and if anything, it will only slow it down furthur and will make browsing, etc unbearable.

25 to 35 peers is more than enough for a 2mbit connection if you download from good trackers.

I have 512Kbps line and I use 10 peers and my speed is always maxed out. When I had a 100mbit server in UK, I used to use 75 peers per torrent and I was getting the full speed of 11MB/sec. It is possible if you use a good source for your torrents.
