Why am I not surprised that you are from the stupid company itself!

This is what I get from your IP:
The fact that you make security software scares me with this fact that you tried to put your point here on this board posing as a customer of sify broadband here from your company's IP (203.124.134.146)!

Very original indeed...

I dont wanna have a AV running all the time. i dont have much money for alot of RAM..
How about if u give me a free package of 3 months then i go and get some RAM
for that money and ill take that antivirus of

Enuff of the b.s.

There is only 1 AV that is good on this earth ..and that is KAV...
😉

So we have a SIFY in this group.. how nice..( get another job dude, dont waste ur talents)

Maybe they can learn anything here from this forum.

i doubt it though

Synergy is no good ... do this - remove the startup entries of synergy from msconfig, and load another antivirus like AVG, this is what i do 😉While you are at it, try removing hbsbeat.exe ... will remove the annoying pinging.

Secure Synergy is just a hosting partner for McAfee. So the AntiVirus is actually from McAfee.

http://www.mcafeeasap.com/intl/EN/content/...ng_partners.asp

And SecureSynergy Client does not use stinger. Stinger is also from McAfee only to remove specific virusus.

If you do not want the Secure Synergy, just call up the CS support and tell them you have your own antivirus software and you would not like the secure synergy. They should be able to disable it for yoru userid/ip address. It worked for me.

Hi all, I have signed on to Sify despite reading such great reviews about it 😛 So I was wondering, this dictatorial anti-virus s/w that they have thrust upon us, would removing it locally, that is without calling the customer care (hear it's a h@$$le), do any harm? Hope it won't stop me from logging on altogether. You know what, I tried to run my first Total system scan with it and it stopped midway. It did appear to be running but it wasn't going anywhere on its status display. Some piece of trash.

right you are. if you dont want to call the customer care and still want to use the login client, contact fully addicted on this forum. he fixed the client that seems to be working. no guarantee though.

ROFL they must really think we're idiots......

😱 who says so?? check out their website!! can't you read "Download the latest stinger" and we know that secure synergy is a a distributor for mcafee

i have read similar claims at a lot of sify discussion threads. whatever it might be, its not worth 1500 that they claim and it s*cks. and no one likes it. and sify has no business to enforce onto us.

to conclude here is what sify's website says when you click on the download antivirus link on their new client

Stinger is a stand-alone utility used to detect and remove specific viruses.
It is not a substitute for full anti-virus protection, but rather a tool to @$$ist
administrators and users when dealing with an infected system. Stinger utilizes next
generation scan engine technology, including process scanning, digitally signed DAT files,
and scan performance optimizations.

Click here to download your Virus Scanner[/b]

note the first line.. it states that stinger is not a full antivirus.. so now how can anbod say that SecureSynergy does not use Stinger
