Airtel 8 Mbps 'Unlimited'
Thinking about getting the Sony Ericsson J300i..... anyone here used it before? The price I was quoted in the market was Rs. 4,700 which seemed quite fair..... any comments on the price?
 
my friend has it. not so pleased with it 😉
 
Bad screen, bad design (physically) and he had some issues with the usability. Other than that its a feature rich phone 😉
 
hmm... I do have to check out the screen still..... if I am not wrong, the screen is a STN one which is supposed to be bad in sunlight......I am mainly considering it because it has 12MB of space which would allow me to not gvie a damn about things like SMSes and JAVA games, and also because I really liked how it fit in my hand, and the buttons were quite awesome too.......It is feature rich but there are silly things like the fact that it plays MPEG4 video but only has 12MB of memory (which cannot be expanded).... so what's the point? MMSes? eh......anyway, I just need a very basic phone whose buttons are nice to type messages with......
 
i use it. buttons are good. it works fine. the only problem i have with it is poor visibility of the screen in sunlight.
 
My friends have been so unfortunate that the FM stopped working, the cell hung a lot, poor battery life....
 
2600 does not have a FM. the battery life is excellent. and the menus are fast.
 
getting back to the topic.....anyone have any views on Sony Ericsson's J300i?

p.s. I don't like the 2600 phone.... and don't really fancy any of the sub Rs. 9,000 Nokia phones really.
 
Just checked it out in a shop today...... pretty nice for something that costs Rs. 4,500....... the STN screen of course clearly was not clear enough to be great in the sunlight.... oh well........ like I said I need a basic phone that I can message easily with...... will probably get it.

If anyone has used it here, please do comment.
