This is the first sify package that ive tried & it R.O.C.K.S.
Im not a avid surfer , what i do is download & i get upto 16kBps speeds on all p2p networks & for 360 bucks its a steal.

Ive also got a tatavsnbb connection of 512kbps which is capped  at 230kbps!! & this connection costs me upwards of 1200 bucks that too for just 100 hours more over there is just too much packet drops in it.

Whereas in sify i get a proper connection without any packet drops or disconnections , infact this is the first time i can really leave an download on irc running withought bothering that it will disconnect in the middle of the night as has happned wid me with other isp packages.

yes i agree a couple of times the darn connection gave up in the middle of the night , but i leant that my local cto`s power cord was eaten by rats  or so he says so.

Id rate this a good 4 out of 5 , basically a downloaders package

.,..but u cannot use it during daytime..waht will u do when u are ... lets say,.. sick home/got a holiday/any other reason u r at home and you wnat to use the internet?1)u make double costs2) u wiat till 9pmthe only things u can do....Sify lives 200 year in the past with their sh*tty packages

duh , ofcourse i cant use it during the daytime its a night package , as i said .its not for everyone , a downloaders package is how i term it as , i manage to download approx 400mb a night of movies ,tvshows, mp3z what i want over torrent.but yeah i agree , a nasdaq listed company can do better , prices of bandwidt have fallen down internationally & sify can provide us international quality service if they want to .

And to think they reduced the 128 kbps night pack cost from Rs. 450 to Rs. 360 while increasing the 32 + cost from Rs. 615 to Rs. 685. Hope they don't reduce the 128's cost further at the expense of the 32 + pack which by my own BA's admission is subscribed to by 70 % of their subscribers.

my network was down the whole night. how would the call center guys help me? it does not matter if they got it fixed in the morning considering i have a night only package. and i dont have CTO available during the entire duration of my connection period.

er, for the past few days my speeds hav been kinda low about 5-10kB instead of what i was getting earlier 14-16kB , maybe this sceme to has some kinda hidden mb limit after which the speed gets reduced for next few days ... i download everynight without fail, so the mbs must be pilin up , anyone with the same kinda situation ?

Nopes. Dont think that is the case, have been using this product for about 2 months now & download everynight. Havnt seen speeds fall (except once when I heard that they had some cable cut in their international bandwidth)

I guess its abt time for this topic to end coz rates have changed again, n keepin in mind how Sify plays with speed, just hope speed wont fall with price fall (in certain packs)

There must have been some error on Sify's end.Consider urself lucky n hope it(speed) wont fall now 😛
