yeah. they did take down my details and their cables are just 500m from my building but they say, they will require atleast 2-3 months to come to my building 🙁
 
max...now u can say that..but earlier i had hathway old connection..550 on lan wire........they used to giv me ard 256kbps...in its ending 3 months...they l8er changed it too logging...and never used to get mor than 5kBPs........ nyways my present net person said they hav only blocked the port which supports vOip.............but after skype(which uses p2p)..i guess that also prob is solved for me...btw any p2p works well with me........bit torrents,ares,limewire,morpheus...all.......i use ares alot...but highest i got was on morpheus was 38;...nyways i m waiting foe airtel to come here...atlest my cable fees will go down..........1.1k is damn much.....hope it goes ard 600-700
 
hey magnet where exactly do u stay in chembur??? do u star near station or central avenue rd..??? i stay in the same locality... could u pls update info on this site when airtel will be entering our area if u get any news... n have u called up airtel regarding when they r coming here???
 
keep me updated as well...AFAIK, hathway does block many ports especially p2p, VoIP etc... My friend has a hathway 64Kbps unlimited connection and he gets about 8-10KBps!
 
i too called them up today to check .. well.. they will take time to come to new bombay - vashi ! Anyone could suggest which is the best broadband i could go for in Vashi area?
 
Consider using MTNL till the time you get Airtel in your Area. If it turns out MTNL has really doubled download limits then DSL NU package (2 GB daytime download unlimites 12 - 8 downloads) looks like attractive package.
 

Yep, I agree. 2GB looks more attractive than their initial 400MB 😉
 
sorry updating this stuff after long time...........i stay in swastik park.... as i told u on pm rahul...........well still no news abt airtel here........i tried hathway unlimited for 2-3 months....its good but 1100 is xpensive..i guess ard max 800 is better deal....but i m not getting that......so i m now on there 440 bucks night 8 to morn 8.........and whole sunday.......its good but i cant surf at night ...since i have to wake up at early 7 for my tennis pract.........presently i m thinking to get a wireless net solution...i guess ill go with airtel one as many ppl here suggestin.............but i want to know wht speed it offers...........also havin an edge phone is an advantage with the net??also do i need to ask for gprs net or edge net???? and whts the charge...it differes frm topic to topic..somone says 150 per month whereas some says 199 whereas some says 360...for unlimited........and somone says 10paise per 10kb download.......also wht else do i need with handset????usb cable or data cable or some other device.....and wht is data card
