Wht??? Hyundai Verna Diesel doing 160kmph???? Unbelievable... This is the first time I hear any Diesel car (Manufactured in India) reach speeds like that... If Diesel can reach 160 Kmph then I guess Petrol Verna should reach like around 220Kmph? 😛Cmon yaar u shud have seen 16kmpl.... Km/litre is different from Km/hour... The former is the mileage and the latter is the speed? :lol:
 
dude. diesels with their bigger engines and more torque end up performing better than their petrol variants.i am sure merc diesels in india would be capable of touching 200KMPH.

wth are you talking about? :lol: The old 2 Litre Safari reaches 155KM/H, i know coz i have done it. The newer DICOR one goes up to the 170+ KM/H mark. We are talking about diesel Cars here not trucks. 😛

The Verna diesel has 110 BHP, even more than the 103 BHP from its own petrol model. The others offer ~100 BHP from their petrol models. So it is pretty brisk even for a diesel and can touch 180KM/H.
 

Hmm... well I guess that beer did work on me last night!!! 😛Well I agree on ur parts abt Diesels with big engines n higher torque can churn max speeds of 160 kmph on the verna... But I've never seen/heard any Verna driver do that atleast here in Tamil Nadu!! 🤔Maybe if u get 6 Lane highway like the Pune one u can like put all the cars to their max... 😉Well anyhow thanx for all the infos ppl.... 🙂
