Hi, If any wants to download files b/w 2.00 and 8.00 without getting up u can use the solution given below. If any users know this solution plz ignore.U need to sync u r system time with the BSNL server time.U can do this by checking the login time and logout time. And set the time accroding to that.If u can do it daily to be at safer side.First u need to setup the BIOS power management to start the system at 2.00 AM.Set up u r download manager to start itself at the system start up time.Download macros from macros.com.Record the macro to connect to internet and also for disconnecting.Set the schedule for connecting macro at 2.10 AM and disconnecting macro at 7.50 AM.Also record a macro for shutting down the System, also set schedule for this to shutdown at 8.00 am.By this u dont need to loose u r sleep.I have downloaded over 10 GB by this method.

I'm just waiting for AirTel to start 512kbps unlimited... then why go through this macro hell...I wonder when we'll get 1 mbps unlimited, that's the day I can die in peace woohoo

I'm just waiting for Airtel to come to my area. Then it's goodbye to BSNL. 2AM onwards has to be the stupidest idea ever.

Even then you wont be satisfied. Had you ever imagined that you would browse internet at more than 56 kbps 5 years ago?

Data files getting bigger and bigger, so does the 'need for speed'.

I had 56 kbps dial-up connection till a couple of months ago, now I am on 256 kbps. Its wayyy faster, still I feel 'cant I get faster?'

This is never ending. Human psychology(and the needs)! B)

My uncle in the US just switched to Broadband couple of days ago.Now listen to this ...For $30 / month ... ie about Rs. 1350 / monthHe's getting an unlimited connection with upload / download speeds of 5 MB / 3 MB on cable ...What the hell ?India is literally swimming in bandwidth ... why cant they just distribute it ...Its not something that you can store in jars for future use anyways 🙁

hey positron, 5 yrs ago i was on 4.5 mbps cable-modem broadband hehehe, so ya for me 1 mbps/unlimited is the absolute minimum before you can call it real broadband...

the other post about $30 per month being Rs 1350/- ... actually if you take into consideration, cost of living, purchasing power parity (index) etc, $30 is actually roughly equivalent to Rs 300/- month (meaning that is what your uncle is paying, relatively speaking) hehe

so here we need 1 mbps unlimited for about Rs 500/- per month, only then its real broadband

Check out the Tyco deal and Flag Telecom deal. I think Tyco had 11,000 Terabits of unlit OFC capacity...

so they already have access to it? i really doubt so considering even dialup on vsnl suck.

I need a spanking new Ferrari 360 Modeno (or higher) for Rs.5 Lacs . . . . only then its real car !!

Sorry, just kidding 😛 . . . I truly endorse your spirit and, going by the declining prices, what u have stated above is pretty soon going to be true.

But no such chance for my Ferrari

I totally agree with thisl. Cost of living should also be considered which makes INDIA still backward in the broadband industry

Mr.Udayag,

Could you please clarify whether this site "macros.com" is a paid site or a free one? I mean, can I download any macros for free? When I visited this site, I actually did not see any individual macros to be downloaded. There was some link where I could download "macroexpress.exe". I did not find any macros specifically for connecting to the net, etc., Please clarify.

Thank you.

>>First u need to setup the BIOS power management to start the system at 2.00 AM.How do you do this?I don't see any option in BIOS to switch on at a predetermined time. The options are 'wake on ring' and a couple of others.
