You seem to be frantic - posting across threads shooting off against MTNLI've been there and let me say that there is no point hitting your head against the wall. Get with the flow. Are you using a USB connection ? I had similar disconn but they stopped after I conn the router via the Ethernet port. (Thanks coolbuddy 🙂) But still it was random and not every 10 mins.Hope this helps

Curb your anti-social tendencies thought MTNL will tempt you no end.Is your problem that the web pages don't work after sometime.. then I too have that problem. Someone suggested that the MTNL DNS sux and I should use a local one. I dunno how to set it up maybe someone here can help...My web pages don't open but my torrents and P2P s/w keep downloading so I stopped worrying. Is this your case also or does nothing work .. as in no download after it hits.

I faced similar probs like u all did initially. Then I went thro' the post with regards 2 PPPoE. I changed my windows settings 4 PPPoE & found tht it was the best solution. Actually if u use the default MTNL settings in ur modem it gives sum probs. U actually have 2 dial there default gw 59.183.63.254 2 chk whther ur net is working fine. Also if u start ur modem after the pc is switched on, it still gives the same prob. The DNS server doesnt respond. I found out tht it is not a prob with the DNS server.

Just login 2 ur modem using the address http://192.168.1.1 (username: admin, password: admin). In WAN settings select PVC0, instead of using PPPoE/PPPoA select Bridged mode. Now save & reboot ur modem. Visit the site www.raspppoe.com & download ur OS specific drivers. Then create a new dial-up connection using the pppoe adaptor & dial-up new connection (the username shud b ur phone no & password shud b ur CA No, if u have not changed it & ur phone no shud b 0). 1ce connected, it will appear like a dial-up connection, but Internet definitely works very well with this. Im using the same setting in all my OS's i.e.98,2k & xp (Thnx 2 the guy who put up a post on pppoe)
