hah, it would be a major flop at Rs. 20 lakhs!!! I have been in a Prius, and it's not better than the Aveo, so save the unusual extremely rich environmentalist or two, no one would opt for this car.
 
well it would not even sell for rs. 10 lakh in india. i have seen just around 3 REVA on city roads in my life. it's the government policies which discourages people from buying these cars.
 
Government policy or not, I sure as hell won't be caught dead driving in a Reva!!! 😛
 
Guys Reva and Prius are totally differentReva is totally battery operated whereas Prius is Hybrid. Plus Prius has been extremely popular that it had waiting list of its prospective customers. And it is backed by Toyota.At rs 20 lakh, it wont sell but it wont be a bad deal if it comes at 10 lakh.......
 

No one claimed they were not different. Let's not get excited.

As far as whether it would sell for Rs. 10 lakhs - well I think the biggest factor on that would be it's mileage. Some sites claim that it can get 48 miles per gallon (i.e 20 kmpl) which we get anyway with an Alto or Honda City (both being cheaper than 10 lakhs) - so it would still flop, considering that the repair/servicing costs due to it's hybridness would probably be much more.
 
people have managed to get 28kmpl from swift. i can only do a max of 14kmpl. people can manage 25+kmpl on octavia/laura. they claim verna crdi can do 30kmpl+. prius would need something in the region of 40kmpl to interest buyers here! people in UK/US gets tax banefits i think if they buy hybrids. in UK they also get preferential treatment in parkings i think. in india no one gives a shit. thing should be cheap and should have a good mileage.
