10 reasons why auto rickshaws should be banned in Delhi.1) They do not know how to drive.2) They do not drive in a single lane.3) 95% of autos do not have their indicators working and they turn left/right without indicating.4) Their back-lights never work, so its really un-predictable when will they apply break. Hence we have to maintain a good amount of distance from them.5) Most of the auto rikshaw drivers drink and drive at night hence its very risky to hire an auto at night time.6) They rash drive even on busy roads.7) They do not obey traffic light rules.8) They overcharge the public.9) 98% of the autos are not ready to go on meter. They ask for a random and absurd amount of money.10) They create a mess on roads resulting to traffic jams.So how many of you agree me on this and how many of you do not and why?

call taxi is not allowed here in kerala.only autorickshaws ,buses and taxi cars.

Over here in Kullu Himachal Pradesh, no Auto Rickshaw uses meters but all of them charge the same.😀No one travels in Taxis here as places are not too far but buses charge according to their will.Sometimes they charge Rs 10 for 2 persons going 14Km and sometimes Rs 40 for 4 travelling the same distance.😡

ah...i dread to ride these autos...but in a cpl of years, i do get to meet up with these guys...:redface:
well i think the auto drivers are also a very harassed lot. by police and the traffic cops... and they are also usually in deep debts. they usually do not have any option but to overcharge from the customers. of course this is not applicable to all...in the end, the government can be blamed for having a poor public transport infrastructure.if they have a regulated public transport system, we won't really have to depend upon private contractors.

But remember the conductors charge Rs 10 themselves and not officially.They dont even give a ticket for this.

Here the fare totally depends on conductor.A "good" conductor can take you and your 2 friends about 14Kms for Rs10 keeping the money to himself but a "bad" one will charge Rs30 for the same and give you three tickets.😀
