HI, Can any one tell whether if u call from yahoo messanger does bsnl charge for it.I dont think they should charge could any body confirm it.

Why/How would they charge!! NO, they don't and can't charge for it...

ur missing the point. every byte sent and recieved from your computer is considered part of the package.

My point is whether they can know we have mada a call or will they consider it just as bytes sent. If it is bytes sent no prob but if its for a voice call then we will be paying a lot of amount.

This doesnt come under voice call @ all. Its a part of the data usage like sushubh said.

no way they can put extra charge on you. it's only data transfer you do at that instant. but WHat you have to get clarified is-- does byte transfer occcur if you talk/recieve or does that go on even if both of the are idle. the latter case is a disadvantage if it happens.so any yahoo forums to answer this or our smart guys here will do it!! 😀

Use G-Mail with google talkI have noticed the bandwidth consumed is less. Messenger based calls are legal IIRC.I have used hotmail earlier and now using Google Talk.Sandeep

google talk consumes more than yahoo ( i have checked it myself) and hence calls are of better clarity.
