🙂 My area has more than 4 broadband providers

3 Locals Cable walas
Sify Broadband (given to distributors)
Tata Broadband (managed by Company itself)
Bsnl's DATA One

I tried 2 cable services then tried for the sify broadband but i had a fight with him he came and put cable at my place later he said that he will charging Rs.100 per month xtra as service and maintainace. So i ashed him to take away his cable and don;t like their tarrifs plans which are to fool us they have cap of 150 mb per day for unlimited plans and Night unlimited is ok but there CAll centre no. doesn;t work at all. Data one has a cap of 1gb per month @ 550 Rs ( 500 + 10.2 % service tax) so its too costly bcos later they charge 1.2 rs per mb that is whooping Rs. 1200 per 1gb and it has too long waiting list.

So I finally went for Tata Indicom Broadband

It is too goood ! using for 3 mnths, at Rs. 25 per hour I am able to download 220 MB @ (512 kbps/8 = 64 Kbps) but i get speed upto 80 kbps sometimes.
There line never is blocked or stops working and I like it .

most ppl here would say downloadin 220 mb at rs 25 is expensive! I have a 256k unlimited and I download 20 gb a month (not using 24x7)! It wouyld cost me 2000 on that equation! Comparing my 256k unlimited with their plans, they are very expensive! But yes i do agree their service will be good! Finally its Tata's

Dude, even am getting a TATA Indicom Connection. Haven't heard much good abt them here on the forum but, I have no option.

I live in Kasturi Plaza and BSNL DataOne isn't available here. Local cable wallas are suckers (except Webnet/Fablinks - atleast they provide stable connections).

My bro had bad experience with Sify. So, it's TATA that is left.

You say that the service is gr8. Is it still the same or it has d[FONT=&quot]eteriorated or got better?

i am using tataindicom broadband for the past 1 year and i am not facing much of the problem previously i was using 64kBps while now i changed to 512 kBps at 700 rs(inclusive of taxes)with 3gb of usagethe speed is good and i am getting 60-64kBps constantly,the browsing speed was also good but only for the past few days i am not getting actual browsing speed even though the download speed is good

OK. Finished the installation of TATA BB today.Speed seems to be whooosh! ATM.Lets C how they perform in the long run.
