Hey guys just read this fine print on Idea website:

Both New & Old Subscriber will have to send an SMS \"NEWSTD\" to Short code 55101 for activating new std tariffs of Rs 1.30 per min.
The new tariff will be activated in 48 Hrs.
Rs. 1.3/min STD tariff is a limited period promotional offer

well there is no need to type, "limited period or promotional offer"anyway, they are free to increase STD rates (if they want to) at anytime! (like they had increased it from 2.4/m to 2.65/m earlier recently.)

its permanent coz its all india and its in response to Airtel 1.5.......idea simply rocks in UPE
