Well vishalraou might have good/helpful ppl there in y'r city. butit is just to findout how good the service is ,in ALL cities in india b'cuzwith the Great bsnl broadband(no doubt it is the best) connection comes incompetent morons?? it shouldn't be like that.i faced so many prob. just for the basic things.it is not at all good for the new BB users.it irritate and demotivates other ppl who r planning to take a new connection. 🙁so let's findout how good the service in y'r city is.

If we have billing problems related to internet they co-ordinate with commercial section and sort out the problem then and there itself. The maximum it takes is a two days (of course commercial section is a different issue)
Yesterday the speed was too low suddenly. Called up and within minutes it was set right.
I am not related to BSNL in anyway. For at Coimbatore I use Airtel for I am not sure about BSNL service at that place.
If they are not sure about the plan details or billing details they ask for some time and find it out (of course you have to remind them once or twice eventually we get results)

I'm waiting for Airtel to come to my place, the staying up till 2am and losing sleep is not worth it.Would love to know whose bright(?) idea it was to start nu from 2am. The fastest way to kill any goodwill they built up.
Ah...maybe i wait for him to confirm...that BSNL is the only option.the unlimted at 2am is a sadistic way to keep limits and still be able to advertise it's unlimited. The only way i can think of to work around is scheduled ftp. P2P or anything that requies intervention wont work for long as you say. The best part is you need to restart the modem at that time or some shit...can't see a way around that.
CITY : KochiPLAN : Home500BSNL guys try their best to be helpful but they just arent as helpful as we want them to be! I mean, they arent arrogant or anything. They try to help us. But they dont have enough knowledge to help us. We used to have great support during the initial period but now there are old ladies answering the phone!!Sheesh!Its soooo horrible!They dont know from a mouse to a keyboard!
