you know you can change the mac address too... but then i dont think they really depend on the mac address.. just the username and pass to log on i guess...

I've been thinking of this for a long time.Even if we cant meet we could atleast set up a hub.Yeah we will get the same 25Kbps speed but atleast we are saving time searching for stuff on the net.

I was able to change the mac displayed in dos mode c:\getmacby some softwarebut still in 192.168.1.1it gives the sameDevice Information
 
Its a TRAP guys... the authentication server is wrkin alright,, only prob wid t billing server.. so dat means the traffic details r getting stored.. only their billing n tablation is not possible.. expect a big bill..Also searched on t net how the DSL services r authenticated.. on t basis of username n password... as we r logged on PPPOE protocol which allows dynamic use of MAC address.. unlike a static MAC address used in CABLE services..
 
@docmanyabut y then any username and password works ?I remember once i had used my frnd's username and pass in my comp and usage was recorded in my frnd's account. (Wid frnd's permission ofcourse)If authentication server is working then we wont be able to use any username password combo in first place.And regarding macs , what da hell is dynamic mac ? I only know static MAC which cable operators bind to username and password for cablenet
 
If the authentication server is working, howcome we are logged in using a bogus username and password ?If PPOE is not based on username and password, howcome only PPPOE has the username and password field ?
 
@ muttster` dudde ur IP add got changed rite ....my ip add got changed when i put bogus phone no. and pass ...i chkd my ip on my own forum
