Future Plans of BroadBand in IndiaPost u r views on future Plans of broadband in IndiaLatest news i came to know is Reliance has introduced HDTV of 1080iWith in this year ending this service will be given to all Subscribers of BroadNet:yahoo:Bsnl had never in his Mind of HD forget BSNL.....:wall:can anyone give that which can offer that kind of offers .............what can be Max Speed by the End of this Year And in Iptv how many HD channels Are provided .....

the max we can expect is 256kbps unlimited from bsnl @500rs and 512kbps unlimited @900 or 384kbps unlimited @750 bucks🙂

Reliance iptv is capable of providing HD channels but it is still not providing as no hd content is available in india.i.e. no hd channelsAnd in india only reliance can give hd channels as they are using optic fibre as compared to others using copper lines

tell me HOW R THEY GONNA PROVIDE HDTV WITH THEIR OLD MPEG 2 STB's???????

of course you would need new STBs.

Maybe some ISPs will provide 16Mbps or more speed due to more competition and advancement of other Asian countries.Japan,North America & Korea already has more than 30Mbps lines.(max in india 10Mbps) And now that Wi-Fi 2.0 is under test we can expect Gig speeds by late next year.As internet is made available to more and more people the entire grid is slowing down dut to the load and India definitely needs to provide more speeds.

when on earth will we see 16megs in india, one 700 mb file in less than 5 min

:yahoo:RailTel offers 32mbps for 13500.:thumbsup:I just hope BSNL provides HOME UL300. (RailTel offers this for 320).🙂I'm just a few kms away from RailTel coverage!😢

why are we way behing the times.............they said we gon have unlimited bandwith by jan 2007 and still we hit a max of 8mpbs which is the max available for hire... and its damn expensive:wall: sometimes i am even ready to pay the humanguss bills... but still u get nothing worth ur money...

The worst part is that government based isp's attract customers on their low pricing........people fall prey to their cheap services...and as we know the customer care and support of government based services is horrible, once they have a large number,it makes the environment very difficult for private isp's to provide cheap broadband services......the consumers in a way affect the tariff of the plans !!!!

say govt rates are cheaper than private in respects as in like modems available at cheaper rates but dont forget its the people running the govt who are resp specially ministers i mean all those old guys damn what do they knw about internet... and moreover talking about govt in other countries speciallly us and canada govt provides excellent services at amazingly low rates..as compared to indian govt i mean if i pay for something i shopuld get a value for money.. isnt it now take my example i made a one time payment for c2110nokia and semens but modem does not even look like its worth that money...

hey guys we are fogetting they are offering only download what about the upload speeds???????
