Errant First Triband Bill

I got my connection on 3rd Sep, though I applied for it on 10 Aug 2003.I suppose to get triband bill in Sep-Oct cycle. but I got following debit charges for July-Aug billAdvance rental deposite 500 (?)adsl triband registration fee 800 (instead of 500?)adsl intitial dpst for 500(?)adsl triband modem rent dr 29.33whopping 1800+ bill even without using adsl for the month aug. :blink: and all of the above charges not even matching with tarrif on site.now i already started running from pillar topost to get it corrected.salya #$%@

everything is right expect registraion charges...it should be 500/- not 800/-but check your next bill..they will acrue 300/- in ur a/c for sure if its their mistake..
 
Hold on other than above charges ADSL rent 234.33 and education charge 2.32 has been also added in my bill.I'd talk with MTNL guys.. they agreed that there was mistake on their side. They registered my ADSL activation on 20th Aug which was actually happened on 3rd Sep. Hence they will adjust all the rental charges in my next bill. Though I've to submit a letter to MTNL AOTR.out of other charges 500 charged for getting new line and not for ADSLso actual bill related to ADSL is now adsl triband registration fee 800 (instead of 500?) [ Regsiteration 500+ 300 as mentioned on web site adsl intitial dpst for 500(?) [as mentioned on MTNL site]adsl triband modem rent dr 29.33 [ will reverted in next bill]ADSL rent 234.33 [will be reverted in next bill]education charge 2.32 [BTW what's that!!!]

This would be Education Cess (2%) that is applied as a sercharge on service tax that you to pay on MTNL / ISP / Cell bills
