HDFC Bank Mobile App Not Working

Lol what just today I got an email to download their upgraded app. I don't use their so don't know if anything changed. It's just too bad.
 
I haven’t been able to use the app for 2 days now. Called to complain and the helpline guy spent 2 mins registering my complaint and then 5 mins selling me an investment scheme
 
do hdfc really don't have an option to manage card limits from their app? or it needs extra permissions?

I can only block card or change pin. In netbanking card limit change option is available.
 
So now if you have USB debugging enabled and if you have TeamViewer, Anydesk, AirDroid and related apps installed on your phone, the app will no longer work and redirects you to this URL 🤦

The USB debugging thingy is a first I've seen.

It's a nice step imo for the average public not giving away remote access or allowing adb access to anything.

Query permission is required in higher version of android to get the name of installed app packages. You can bypass this requirement by installing HDFC bank app in another user profile or work profile.
 
Decisions are taken for 99% of the people and not just for 1% of us. I understand other banking and financial apps will follow with this. They might even go deep with hardware attestation.

Advanced users have the option to use user profile, work profile, install/reinstall app, netbanking, etc.
 
I added one more Finger print in Biometrics. After that Citibank disabled Finger print unlock for the app. I had to login with password and enable finger print unlock again.
 
It's been an on and off issue with Citibank. Thankfully it doesn't ask you to verify your CC, ATM PIN, OTP and other details to enable it again.
